In 2022 and beyond, we’re letting bold and bright colors take center stage! Holland and Andrew’s nuptials was full of nothing you would expect, and everything you wouldn’t! Between their brightly-colored florals by Lilia Flower Boutique, rainbow streamers, and vinyl record-themed reception, this wedding was unapologetically true to them. And the best part? They designed it themselves!
With a little help planning from Buck and Rose, Andrew and Holland were able to have the best day of their lives. Photographer Trish Allison was there to capture all the smiling faces and joyful details – including their beautiful venue, Urban Daisy! Are you ready to see this unique colorful wedding? Let’s do it!
Love and Confetti
From the very beginning of the event, no detail was spared! Guests were treated with the sweetest blue and orange invites in their mailboxes bearing the exciting news that their close friends Holland and Andrew were to wed on October 8th, 2021.
These are the absolute cutest wedding nails!!
Holland was a vision of beauty in her flowing wedding gown by Georgia Young Couture. Its simplicity perfectly elevates their eclectic and exciting wedding decor.
I loved the unique fabrics of her designs and how comfortable they made me feel. The dress I chose had sleeves that bustled once I was ready to hit the dance floor. I knew it was the one for me.
One thing we couldn’t get enough of in Holland’s bridal look is that gemstone HEADBAND! Her stunning headband is by Lelet NY. Thinking of picking one up for your own wedding day? Here are our 49 favorite bridal headbands!
Fun Fact: A lot of the wedding’s details were inspired by Andrew’s green suit!
When designing the wedding I stayed away from inspiration boards and really looked at what we love as individuals and as a couple. Andrew loves music and I love color so a colorful rock n’ roll themed wedding with lots of confetti was a must. While Andrew took care of the musical selections for our day, I designed the colors around our preferences, Andrew wanted a green suit and I wanted yellow shoes, the rest of the colors were chosen around that theme.
Andrew and Holland were so excited to see each other in their wedding day attire!
In accordance with their green and yellow theme, the couple ordered these colorful custom vow books to exchange loving messages to one another on their big day.
Fun With Streamers
This is one of the coolest ceremony setups we’ve seen! Rainbow streamers hung from the ceilings and trickled down to create a dreamy ceremony area. The bright and colorful flowers lining the aisles were the cherry on top!
…and a little disco ball action, of course!
Processional: Somebody To Love (Cover) by Troye Sivan
Recessional: Golden Years by David Bowie
First Dance: Beyond by Leon Bridges
Holland and Andrew opted not to have a wedding party. This allowed for even more personal time between the two!
Congratulations to the newlywed couple!
Andrew and Holland looked sweet-as-can-be after the stress of getting married finally melted away.
The entrance signage did say that dancing shoes were required!
Holland: I loved our exit from the ceremony with so much confetti and good music to start the party off right! You can see by the pictures how happy we were at that moment. But it's a tie with the surprise flash mob our friends and family planned!
Andrew: My favorite moment of the day was our pre-wedding “activities.” First, Holland and I did our first look (she was so beautiful), then pictures with our family. We didn’t have a wedding party, but we celebrated by having a coffee/beer with our close friends and family before the ceremony.
The reception is where things got extra creative! The ‘Find Your Album’ seating chart showed off the greatest hits of some of the couple’s favorite artists. Not only them, but some of their guests’ favorites were included, as well! It was beautiful, functional, and sentimental. How great is that?!
Many of our dates have been on Andrew’s scooter, so a band poster featuring us was a great way to tell a bit of our story and made for a great photo backdrop.
The all-white reception space was decorated from top to bottom in bright and colorful decor. Rainbow streamers lined the walls while floral centerpieces graced each table.
Ticket for one, please! Each table setting was transformed into an epic vinyl with guests’ names inscribed.
The sweetheart table was filled with just as much color and light as every other aspect of the wedding. We love the branched-out florals and disco balls peeking out from behind!
Think out of the box, and really ask for what you want. We went with some non-traditional colors and did the planning ourselves. It was hard at times but so worth it in the end to have a wedding day that felt like us.
There’s no better way to finish off such an epic night than with a custom coffee bar!
The day goes went incredibly fast. We had an amazing video team capture those memories and in the video, we are able to see moments we were not a part of, like guests exiting the ceremony, stellar dance moves, and sweet moments while we were away taking pictures. I watch those videos more than I should admit!
Congratulations to Holland and Andrew!
