Everything you thought you knew about a beach wedding? Forget it.
This “coastal chic” wedding photo shoot in Tulum — captured by Soul Lovers and brought to life by planners + designers at Fer Gallegos & Co. and a team of visionary vendors from Mexico — has come along to teach us all just how splendidly sophisticated a ceremony by the sea can be.
“We set out to prove that elegance and beachside jungle vibes can coexist,” Fer shares, “and the result is a breathtaking take on the modern boho wedding.”
Destination wedding dreamers, take notes: the goal of this project was to “redefine what it means to get married in Tulum,” and we are completely obsessed with how seamlessly an adventurous oceanside location blended with a monochromatic, classic feel.
“This editorial was designed for the fashion-forward bride who dreams of a destination wedding that feels both effortless and elevated,” Fer adds. “We paired refined silhouettes and sophisticated styling with raw, organic elements that reflect Tulum’s natural beauty.”
Where other beach weddings would go barefoot in the sand? This editorial opts for chic + modern beachside boutique hotel vibes at Hotel Panamera with palm trees swaying overhead. Where some beach brides would bring on the free-spirited stretch-lace boho wedding gowns? This shoot embraces timelessness and plenty of pearls. And all the while, an earth tone color palette presides, giving the whole thing a rooted, organic, locally-sourced loveliness.
“This shoot is a love letter to modern couples who want it all,” says Fer, “the magic of nature, the touch of luxury, and a celebration that feels personal, artistic, and unforgettable.”
Lace + Pearls

You know how much we love the idea of a signature scent on your wedding day. What better way to bring back memories of your “I do’s” than with a spritz of the carefully chosen perfume you wore? Gucci Flora in Gorgeous Gardenia is a great choice for feminine, floral-forward brides. Plus, that bottle: 😍🌸

LOVING the mixed-scale matching — the teeny, delicate pearls of this wedding veil with the massive, chunky pearls of these layered wedding necklaces!

White lace tights + a chic pair of black bow wedding heels: a match made in b+w heaven.

Modern Boho in Mexico

So smitten with this shimmery, pearly, strapless gown from Ely Bride.

Daniel Perez-Astorga‘s bold brow earthy neutral bridal makeup look and slicked back high bun wedding updo were a brilliant balance of organic + elegant.

The pale pinks, muted yellows, and fauna-filled texture of these floral arrangements by Aralia Mx were pure earthy romance.

“The floral design leaned into earthy tones and textural blooms, embracing a palette of soft neutrals, sandy beiges, and warm rusts,” Fer recalls, “a nod to the jungle-meets-coast atmosphere of the venue.”

“Hotel Panamera’s architecture and vibe gave us the perfect canvas to bring this vision to life: relaxed, but never casual,” Fer says.

“It’s proof that you can be barefoot by the ocean and still look like a fashion icon.”

An Earthy + Romantic Reception

Time to Toast 🥂

This short + sparkly reception dress was pure party-ready joy!

Oh, and such a fun style shift into this playful half-up half-down hairstyle!
