Best of March: Here’s What Our Preferred Wedding Artists are Up To!

See what our Preferred Wedding Artists are up to!

You’ve heard it before, you’re going to hear it again: planning a wedding is a lot of work. The good news? That’s where the pro’s come in! And lucky for you, we’re kinda in the know when it comes to wedding vendors. The perfect team of vendors can help you go from mood board to dream day to…the pages of GWS, perhaps? ;)

Allow us to introduce you to our guide of Green Wedding Shoes-approved Preferred Wedding Artists, or, our PWAs! We call them artists because that’s exactly what they are: creators, designers, outside-the-box thinkers, some might even say – magicians! There are several “vendor guides” out there, but we’ve got the cream of the crop. That’s because we thoroughly vet our artists and work to build genuine relationships with the folks behind the clipboards, cameras, makeup brushes, and spatulas. These are people we know and love — folks we, ourselves, would hire in an instant.

And so, we thought it’d be fun to show you guys what some of our PWAs have been up to this month! Check back every month for a reoccurring look at some of the most creative stuff happening in the wedding world right now, direct from the best of the best. Plus, if you like what you see, click on over to their websites, say hey, and start building your dream team! (By the way, if you’re a wedding artist yourself, you’re invited to apply to join the PWA fam and get it on the exclusive perks of membership!)

Let’s check in with our PWAs for a few March highlights, shall we? Starting with…

An Invitation Photo, Styled with Classic Romance

Anna Delores Photography Styling Workshop

This is an image from our recent Wedding Styling for Photographers Workshop in Santa Barbara! We taught photographers how to elevate the aesthetics of their image collection, delight clients, and build fruitful relationships with fellow wedding vendors.*

A Perfect Gift for the Pet Lover

Miss Design Berry

banner by PWA Miss Design Berry:

Our brand is super focused on wedding pieces that include pets. Our work is mostly illustration based, so lots of our products include portraits of people, and their pets. Additionally, many of our pieces are designed to be used after the wedding as fun keepsake artwork that the couple can display in their home.

We just introduced some new designs with some really fun new products. This hanging canvas banner is a brand new type of product! It features a custom illustration of the couple’s pet, along with a (slightly adapted) love quote, their names, and the wedding date at the bottom.

The Sweetest First-Look Teaser

video by PWA Lovelit Films:

This was one of the best first looks we’ve ever seen! These two brilliant cardiologists had a beachside wedding with a fusion of their cultures: Mexican and Indian. The amount of stunning details we got to film still didn’t outshine their chemistry. His tears at the first look had us in crying immediately.

The Perfect Messy Updo

Melanie Sorrow Hair

hair by PWA Melanie Sorrow Hair:

Braids + a messy bun=perfect wedding hair. This is one of my favorite styles to do! I did this hairstyle for my bride last month, an effortless look that blended well with the Georgia sunshine.

A Cascading Dream Cake

Bijou's Sweet Treats Cake

This wedding cake was created for a mixed metals-themed wedding with fading metallic + cascading buttercream swags.**

A Sweet, Post-Wedding Couple Shot on a Secret Beach

Catalina Jean Photography

photo by PWA Catalina Jean Photography:

I am in love with the city of Sayulita. I’m lucky to shoot a few weddings there every winter, which is a great time to escape my rainy hometown of Portland. I just shot this wedding a few weeks ago and it is truly one of my favorites. A ceremony with cliff top views of the little surf town, then off to exploring this rocky secret beach. I’m back to my office and the winter cold, but this photo makes me think back to the warm beaches of Sayulita.

To couples: definitely consider a destination wedding! These two had 30 of their closest family and friends come out to Mexico for a week of surfing, sailing, and margaritas — then had a wedding as a final celebration! What a great way to spend time with the people you love while creating some adventurous memories together.

A Colorful Rebrand and Website Launch

Anything But Gray Events
via Anything But Gray Events:

As a wedding planner in Los Angeles, there are many options. When I wanted to rebrand, I knew I needed to fill a void in my market. I live for color and I knew there was a market for couples who love it too! Anything But Gray Events is bold, colorful, and creates events unlike anything else in the LA market.

A Romantic Bouquet

Noonan's Wine Country Designs

bouquet by PWA Noonan’s Wine Country Designs:

This is what happens when flowers speak their own language and draw you in. This bouquet brings together a perfect combination of texture and focal interest. The movement of dancing hellebores and sweet pea tendrils mixed with a classic beauty, the garden rose, gives this bouquet a sweet marriage of two opposites.***

Thanks to our talented PWAs for sharing your beautiful work with us this month!
