This Cliffside Wedding in Thailand Looks Straight Out of a Dream — and You Have to See the Flowers

Tying the knot in Thailand is exactly as spectacular as it sounds, and these photos by ProudRad of Cheeny + Michael’s magical cliffside wedding are the evidence.

“Perched on the edge of the cliff, this ceremony was a true ode to nature,” says Xenia of Thailand-based event design + planning company The Wedding Bliss , “a canvas brought to life with meadow-inspired blooms, dancing grasses, and unruly foliage.”

And Xenia’s right — the flowers in this wedding are truly unmissable 🌸 The way they blended with the gorgeous landscape at Cape Fahn Hotel gave the whole occasion an inherent magic.

“What we really wanted for our wedding day was to create a celebration that honoured not just our love, but also the rare and beautiful moment of having all our friends and family together,” Cheeny + Michaels say. “People flew in from the Philippines, Cambodia, Japan, the USA, France, and Australia—and we knew this would likely be the only time we’d have all of them in one place. That made it even more important for us to make the most of it and show just how much their presence meant to us.”

As Xenia put it: “Proof that the most magical design doesn’t overpower the view – it becomes part of it.”

“Finding my dress started about a year before the wedding,” Cheeny recalls. “I spent so much time looking at dresses online, watching videos of brides trying on gowns, and figuring out which stores stocked them in Asia. Eventually, we flew to Singapore to do some try-ons.”

“All I really knew going in was that I wanted something simple—not body-hugging—just light, flowy, and comfortable. I kept waiting for that “this is the one” moment like in the TikTok videos, but it didn’t happen with the first 8 or so dresses. Everything just felt a bit too much.”

“Then I asked my stylist if they had anything halter-style, and she brought out one dress. As soon as I tried it on, I just knew. It was so me, and I didn’t want to try anything else after that. That was my dress.”

Our Favorite Memory
 It was probably when we were personally handing out plates to each guest when they were coming to get food for the buffet. Time is so tight, and it was a good time to just spend a few minutes thanking the guests. Many of them told us how emotional and how touched they were from the handwritten letters we wrote each guest. Many of them also told us afterwards how amazing the wedding was, and that it was probably the best wedding they have ever been to.

Some advice from the couple? “Yes, make your wedding about connections, emotions, and celebrate the love between each other. Do not invite people that do not mean much to you as a couple.”

Our Advice
Pick a good wedding planner! As we were quite busy, we relied on our excellent wedding planners. There are just so many things to think about during that special day. It's all about the attention to small details, this and also the weather, as our ceremony was partly outdoor and it was cloudy and raining.
