With Comic Con taking place this weekend in San Diego, I thought this super cute Super Mario Bros. themed wedding shoot would be perfect to share. I mean, who doesn’t love Super Mario Brothers!? :) I love that this shoot is super playful + perfect inspiration for all you video game lovers out there – but done in a chic way! I really love how they included lots of visual motifs from the game in the tablescape, bouquet and cake. Thanks so much to Primary Petals who came up with the concept and styled the whole shoot.
Love the table with the clouds and the coins dropping above! And how cute are the favors on each plate?!
Such a gorgeous bouquet – love all the colors!
Anyone else have the Super Mario Bros. song stuck in their head? :) Thanks so much to all these creative vendors for sharing their talents with us today!

Oh my goodness I totally freaked out when I saw that pink dress! It was like a replica of my princess dress when I was four the only difference is that it’s not plunging and has a tulle puff short sleeves!!!! cool!
Oh my God, that is the most fun wedding theme I have ever seen! They are so creative!
Super fun and creative but still elegant. I wouldn’t have believed it until I saw the pics!
Too much fun! I love the incorporation of different greenery, too. Would the favors be tiny bags of gold-chocolate coins?
AHHH! This is so awesome!!!! I love the hanging cloud + coins. So so cool! Amazing!
this makes me super happy
So creative and adorable! I love when an interesting theme is executed so well.
I’ve been dying to see a Princess Peach bride. No disappointment!
This may be “wild” to some in the wedding world, but trust me, in the Offbeat world, this borders Offbeat Lite.
Absolutely adorable!
Thank you all for all the loving comments. I am so glad that this wacky idea is being received so well. And HiLLjO, you’re right, this is definitely Offbeat Lite, and which is perfect! I was trying to make it more subtle thank loud.
Thanks again everyone! Make sure to check out more at http://www.primarypetals.com.
Excuse all my typos. I have had too much coffee this morning and am also very excited. Oops!
I love this idea! Who would have thought Mario and Peach would have such lovely nuptials (I pinned her more a Luigi type of gal). That dress could reside in my closet…perferably one of each color of the rainbow!
Those shoes are amazing! Do you know what brand they are?
LOVE this shoot! that dress is adorable :)
Absolutely adorable!!!
SO HONORED to have plates from our “Retro Collection” in this shoot. AMAZING JOB to the whole team… especially Primary Petals!!! It was a joy collaborating with you :)
Hey Beth! I am the hairdresser from the shoot and the shoes are mine : ) They are by the brand “Paprika” at a store at the Simi Valley Mall called “Riverwalk”. They are an 8 1/2 so you can totally email me if you that’s your size and you want them!
Love this! I recently shot a wedding with a Super Mario inspired cake! It was amazing :)
WHAT. A Super Mario inspired shoot, WHAT. This is AMAZING in SO MANY WAYS that CAPSLOCK is the only way to show my utter glee! Why does everything look so adorable and cute! It’s definitely something to consider if you’re a couple who likes whimsy, don’t take yourselves too seriously, and are maybe closet geeks. xD
Anna, that is so sweet, unfortunately I am a size 7. Thanks for letting me know the brand though! I can start looking for them now ;)
This is beyond adorable. Love the coins hanging over the table and the little venus fly traps in the centerpiece. Just great.
The falling coins are definitely a nice touch. But I gotta say – was hoping to see Best Man Luigi in his kelly green bow tie & suspenders.
I feel you Brian! However, we couldn’t find a Luigi in time and I was having a hard time thinking of what to do for a bridesmaid. Trust me, if this had been a bigger shoot, a green bow tie would definitely be there!
Wow – now I really do have the Mario Bros song stuck in my head! Great job on this :)
This is why I LOVE this site!! Such a fun idea – and you are right, not cheesy at all! Love how you mix fun ideas, lots of DIY options along with gorgeous weddings on your blog! I wish you guys posted on the weekends too – can’t get enough!!!
All I have to say is WOW! Great job guys!!
So cute! Did Primary Petals make the headband? And where can I get one like it?
wow. so so awesome. I LOVE THIS!
So fun and playful! Love all the vibrant colors and other worldly flowers. Even my husband is drooling!
LOVE the shoes! I am an 8-8 1/2. Anna Quinn, I just e-mailed you!
What beautiful flowers. I loved the red groom too. The princess is so playful and cute. You are incredibly creative!
So much fun! I really hope this inspires some Mario weddings!
This is truly artistic creation in its finest form. I love how you incorporated every detail beautifully and subtly all the while staying true to the super mario theme. You executed it all so well! Not overdone, just right. Everything just falls into place perfectly and seemingly effortlessly – from the tablescape centerpiece with the piranha plant coming from the pipe to the fashion (especially the dress and headpiece!) to the clouds and coins to the florals! Amazing work Primary Petals! Love it all! Can you tell? ; )
Classy and fun! This is a stunning design!
such talent and inspiration! the folks at primary petals are my superheroes. i’d get married all over again to partake in their style sensibilities.
love it! such a great way to show how you can take an idea and abstract it enough to create a really solid concept that is classy, creative, and fun!
What genius talent, color constructs are other-worldly. The colors, plant and flower choices are yummy. Move over Marks Garden the hip, young, anthropological Primary Petals is on the runway
I’m desperately in LOVE with those shoes! Anna, if no one has claimed them, I am an 8 1/2 and planning a New Year’s Eve wedding… I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of pink glitter heels!
this is such a great idea!! the details are done to perfection, anything but cheesy!
I am in love with the toadstool cake!!! The baker should showcase it on their website. I visited La Flor de Yucatan site and was bummed I couldn’t find it! I am going to have a garden style Thumbelina wedding and it would be PERFECT!
Love this! It’s so pretty and I love how they interpreted some of the original details of the game in a beautiful, romantic way!
Arielle,
Flora de Yucatan made the cake, and the cake decor was done by Primary Petals. I hand painted all the mushrooms (which are real), and then placed them on the cake. Please I would love to create Thumbelina cake decor for you, so just send me an email or give me a call!
So cute ! And fun ^^
waterpicks for the pipes…genius! this makes me ridiculously happy. :)
Cute Mario bros. Princess is very beautiful.
Such a beautiful wedding pictures! Love it! Thumbs up for sharing this to us.
my fiancé and I are wanting a super Mario bros themed wedding reception but I cant find websites of anyone that actually sells the items we see pictures of…anyone know of any?
