Brook + Matthew always wanted to get married outdoors, but it was too big of a risk in September in North Dakota. To give their day an organic, natural feel, they chose to tie the knot at sixteen03Main in Bismarck, North Dakota, turning the venue into a romantic, candlelit soirée, reminiscent of a night in a garden. (Swoon!)
Brook tells us, We made the day about the two of us by adding personal touches to the ceremony and reception. All of the details of the reception were designed by myself to make it feel intimate and as much like us as possible.
Thanks so much to Glasser Images for the stunning images + congrats to B + M on such a gorgeous day!
Quinn from Glasser Images says, I knew Matthew was anxious to see Brook, but his reaction was more emotional than I could have imagined. It’s one of my favorite first looks of all time!
Brook + Matthew’s desired garden feel came across beautifully in the bridal bouquet by crabapple floral.
Since Brook wanted candlelit to be the only light source at the wedding, she + Matthew got creative with coming up with dreamy ways to light up the dark refurbished factory space.
Processional: Wagner's Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin played live by the Bismarck Symphony Orchestra
Recessional: Mendelssohn's wedding March from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" Op. 61 played live by the Bismarck Symphony Orchestra
First Dance: How Will I Know – Sam Smith
Isn’t that cake – baked by a family friend – the cutest?!
Matt was a professionally trained opera singer so he surprised me and sang at our ceremony. He sang a Neapolitan song "o sole mio".
We both live in Arizona so making sure everything was in place was hard. We didn't have anyone planning the wedding. My advice would be to put someone in charge of keeping you on track the day of your wedding. Or hire a wedding planner!

Very lovely couple and such a cool venue! Good job from the photographer, with such little light, the pictures turned out great, I also really like the editing.
LOVE THIS!!!! The light is beautiful.
I love all the signage especially the lit up letters and the balloons.

Stunning wedding! Love all the details! I’m wondering where you got the “welcome to the wedding…” sign, frame, easel? Would love to do something very similar at my wedding in september! Thanks!! LIz
