Inspiration Board #29: Dusty Gray + Black

I just love this color palette for a winter wedding. A modern take on a classic look – and that dress – major swoon!! Anyone planning a winter wedding right now? What color palette are you leaning towards?

  1. I’m planning a winter wedding for 2012. I’m planning on using dark grey, ice blue, and bone as my colors!

  2. I am in love with this dress and the shoes… Nice board Jen and well, AMAZING choice of dress and shoes (I had to say it again).

  3. We are having a winter/spring wedding in March.

Our colors are silver/jewel toned teal/golden yellow and white.

I love that dress you posted!!

  4. love love how different this is!

  5. This is my inspiration for my LIFE so I love it!

  6. That cake is gorgeous! It would be so pretty with a gray, black and white dessert buffet.

  7. I am in love with this board too!
I am planning my winter 2011 wedding and everything will be silver, black and white with color accents inspired by dark purple calla lilies – so deep purple and emerald green!

  8. that dress and those shoes! brilliant.

  9. Planning our December 2011 wedding right now! We’re going with yellow, grey, and dark green. We had these colors picked when we thought we might be doing Fall, but I’m still happy with the choice! Green, silver, and gold should make for some fun decor.

P.S. I haven’t been commenting (for shame!) but OH how I love your blog! Loved it before I got engaged and am enjoying it on a whole other level now. :)

  10. i’m planning a late 2012 wedding, but don’t really have a definite date or color palette. since it will be in socal, i don’t see the reason for having seasonal colors as there are no real seasons here… my front runners are either teal, deep purple, lime green and bright orange OR slate grey, navy and canary.

  11. I’m getting married in September this year and want to use a charcoal grey as my base colour. My bridesmaid (sister) is making me various nervous about it though and she keeps telling me how dark and awful it will look on what is meant to be a joyous day. I don’t know whether to use a specific colour to accent it or to use several bright colours to lighten it. any ideas?

  12. Lovely colors! I was near close to having grey as a main color for my September wedding…I think its gorgeous!! Also, for Nici, I think charcoal grey could be quite lovely as a base color! Maybe consider colors to go with it like moss green and coral, or you can go super bright with yellow and orange, or very elegant with deeper colors (like burgandy and pearl). You can make grey wonderful! Also, think how flowers would pop against a grey bridemaid’s dress!
