Hello gorgeous space!! We’re thrilled to share another Home Tour with all of you today, captured by Lauren Louise Photography (and in case you haven’t seen the other tours — make sure to check them out for lots of home decor inspo)! Today, Tina + Ricky are inviting us to tour their home and give us the inside scoop on their ‘Mid-Century Modern Meets Boho-Inspired’ condo!
Tina says Our taste has definitely evolved since we first met. It kind of started as rustic/vintage, and has now changed into more of a mid-century look. Ricky prefers the clean lines, but is okay with me adding a little bit of my boho style. It’s all about compromise! Her favorite part of the condo? All of the amazing natural light! It allows her to keep everything white, clean, and crisp – letting the furniture and textiles pop. (It also makes the space feel even bigger!)
Let’s start the tour!
The couple has lived in a few different cities together, including DC, San Francisco, and Austin. Tina says I think our place kind of represents a little bit of every place that we have lived. I think it’s a good mix of East + West Coast styles!
What advice do you have for couples currently designing their home?
I would say, getting rid of the clutter and keeping your design choices simple makes for a nice looking home – no matter what! Keep old pieces, and mix them in the with the new. Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color here and there. It’s always good to remember that your home is a work in progress.
LOVE this kitchen + dining room!!
Our West Elm bed frame is really special to us as it was the first “nice” piece of furniture that Ricky and I ever bought together – six years later, it’s still my favorite piece.
We asked Tina how she gathered her inspiration for creating a cohesive design scheme, and she shares Pinterest has been a major source of not only inspiration, but also a way for me to manage and collect all of my design ideas. I also follow a ton of design brands and designers on Instagram – which gives me a ton of inspiration; Rue Magazine, Lonny, Domaine are a few of my favorites.
Tina shares The antlers hanging in our office gallery wall are another favorite of mine because we paid $50 for the pair at an estate sale in San Fransisco almost five years ago. I always love a good vintage find!
So pretty, simple + clean, right?! Interested in sharing your home with us? We’d LOVE to see it! Click here to send the photos + details our way! :)
And a huge thank you to Tina + Ricky for letting us take a look at their gorgeous space.
