Putting the finishing touches on your winter 2015/16 wedding? Then today’s gorgeous editorial really couldn’t have come at a better time! The team who pulled this pretty scene together (the crew at Flowers by Milk & Honey), drew inspiration from the earthy beauty, tonal quality and shimmering iridescence of geodes, quartz, raw gemstones and natural minerals. Those organic elements really do work wonders at wintertime soirées, when a little beauty + brightening goes a very long way. Ryan at pure7studios was there to perfectly capture the setting, and Kaitlin from Flowers by Milk & Honey tells us more about the team’s unique vision below:
Living along the Emerald Coast of Florida, we are accustomed to admiring the beauty of the landscape around us, but we knew that we wanted to transform our project into a landscape that would evoke the feeling of clean, raw, natural beauty, encouraging brides to draw inspiration from both their imaginations and the beauty of their own backyard.
Those BHLDN frocks, in icy shades of blue, were the perfect choice for winter bridesmaids.
Champagne + cocktails that echo the shimmering setting…
Are you loving these blooms as much as we are? The creatives are spilling their secrets + sharing the ingredients!
The floral elements used were olive branches, various species of eucalyptus (“silver dollar” and “seeded”), white anemone, deep blue anemone, white ornithogalum (aka “star of bethlehem”), peach hypericum berries, Quicksand roses, privet berries, ligustrum berries, white eryngium (“silver ghost” thistle), blue eryngium (“sea holly” thistle), white astilbe, white veronica, and white tulips.
Such a simple, but stunning cake below.

A big thanks to the following creatives for giving us pretty cure for the winter blues! Are any of you who are tying the knot at the end of the year incorporating geodes into your celebration?
