Janet and Matthew knew Bruma Valle de Guadalupe was the perfect wedding venue for them the moment they laid eyes on it. The venue just represented their personalities so well! As lovers of animals and nature, the two were enamored with the winery’s native plants and animals. And hey, it doesn’t hurt that this also meant they got to have a destination wedding in beautiful Mexico!
Every element of the day was undeniably beautiful and perfectly laid out their love story for friends and family to see. The couple worked with Tailored Events to imagine a tropical and exciting theme. Photographer Emma of The Bold Americana did an amazing job of bringing the life and love that was seen on their wedding day in all of their photos. Let’s dive in!
Friends & Family Unite
Janet & Matt had the cutest, most detailed wedding invites! Their invitation suite perfectly matched with their tropical color scheme, and the calligraphy was as elegant as their venue.
The couple shared their first look in the most scenic and serene of surroundings. The two looked so beautiful together!
Janet’s bridesmaids stunned in their vibrant orange dresses. They truly brought the tropical vibes to this Mexican winery wedding!
Matt and his groomsmen kept things cool and fresh in their matching khaki suits. Just like sand at a beach!
The Moment of Truth
The ceremony space was decorated to the nines with light wooden chairs, pampas grass florals, and a truly exceptional wooden sculpture. Who needs a ceremony arch when you have that?!
Processional: Conversations In The Dark - John Legend | Electric Violin Cover By Ruth Potts
Recessional: I'll Name The Dogs by Blake Shelton
First Dance: Off My Face by Justin Bieber
The floral details by Querer Bonito Floral Studio & Rentals were light, fluffy, and perfectly curated for this tropical affair.
This ring bearer came prepared to keep the rings as secure as can be! (You can find that cute ring security box here)
Janet and Matt finally got the opportunity to say their vows to one another in front of their beloved family and friends.
Cheers to the newlyweds!
Partying Until the Sun Comes Up
The entire day was filled with amazing moments, but one of Matthew's and my favorites was walking down the aisle and locking eyes. That was one of the most emotional moments of my life. We had a first look where we were able to have an intimate moment prior to the ceremony, but there is nothing like walking towards your soon-to-be husband surrounded by all our friends and family. That is a moment I will never forget, it literally took my breath away!
Look at this beautiful reception! All of the beachy vibes were brought to the table (literally). Small orange flower arrangements lined each table for a look that was both perfectly tropical and seasonal for this October wedding.
You do not have to follow all the "traditional" wedding things, make it your own! That day should be all about you and your spouse. When planning a destination wedding you absolutely need a wedding planner, having someone local to the destination is key to making sure everything flows smoothly on your wedding day. I was lucky to have two wedding planners that helped coordinate our wedding day and take so much stress off our shoulders. Also, invest in a good photographer and videographer. Having good pictures and a video that makes you relive the moment is so important because it is so easy to miss a few things and details.
Congratulation to Janet & Matt on your wedding day! We wish you endless years of happiness. Don’t forget to check out their wedding video below!
