Okay, lovers. Prepare to be swept away by this whimsical wedding inspiration! Rule number one for a fairy tale wedding: you must find a fairy tale location. And we just can’t think of many more magical places than a grove of cherry blossoms in bloom! You have to be there at just the right time before the blooms fall to the ground until the next year. Lucky for us, Samantha at Sam Rae MUA Photo and a whole handful of creatives made it just in time! Here’s a little inspiration behind the day:
The color palette focused on the colors of a cherry blossom’s pinks, whites, and mauves. The details and decor were very whimsical and somewhat Alice in Wonderland-inspired, as well. This location was not an easy one to find. We scheduled the shoot a little late in the season so the day prior, we drove out to Bakersfield and searched for the perfect grove with the most blooms. It is challenging to get the timing right as cherry blossoms are only in full bloom for a few days a year. We were very lucky to find such a stunning location.

Hostess Haven‘s tabletop pieces created an elegant atmosphere. Just look at the details! The fruit placed just so and the interesting candleholders with all the pops of color from the blooms. It’s a vision!

There is an ancient Japanese proverb that speaks about how everything in life is fleeting, just like a cherry blossom. A beautiful reminder to appreciate every moment as it comes.
