“Curiouser and curiouser!” We’ve fallen down the rabbit hole to this mad world, à la Alice in Wonderland. Taking things to a fantastic level, the creative team of Cody James Barry Photography, event designer Autumn Nomad, planner Nicole Mower Events, and florist Bad Rabbit Flowers crafted something that truly pushed eerie to a new level! From a Mad Hatter-inspired cake, to tons of overgrown mossy confections, live rabbits, and twisted details, we simply can’t stop staring!
Infused with dark elements that Tim Burton would be proud of, we better take a look before we’re late (for a very important date!). Down the rabbit hole we gooooo:
The Details

As if it were inspired by an English garden, this invitation suite by Garden Gate Lettering took on an eerie + moody vibe. Isn’t it divine?

The location took place in an industrial mill in Biddeford, Maine where the team completely transformed the space by creating a plant wall and laying down a checkerboard floor.

All the escort cards on these dainty potion bottles were reminiscent of the “Drink Me,” and “Eat Me” signs. So fitting, no?
The Mad Hatter’s Table

An elegant setting, indeed! The amazing “foraged feast” from Thompson House Eatery featured a mushroom salad, lamb crocket, and blood orange green tea infused cake, along with a dessert table.

The Confectionary Delights

Black lace + sugar flowers?! This masterpiece by Autumn Nomad is definitely topping our charts for one of the coolest cakes we’ve seen in a while!

Yes, that is an overgrown “moss” cake, complete with mushrooms.

Of course, darling rabbits had to play a part in the festivities!
The Gown

The bride stunned in not one, but TWO glamorous looks from Madeleine’s Daughter Bridal.

In case the black lace cake wasn’t enough, the team added this floral delight, too! Immerse yourself even more in the fantastical world via this video from OTD Collective:
