We’re All About the Bridesmaids in White at this Moody Bohemian Wedding

Wolf Feather Honey Farm Wedding

Wolf Feather Honey Farm is a magical place nestled in the hills of Temecula Wine Country… and we adore it (see our GWS x Amazon editorial shoot there)! Pistachio groves, teepees, vintage décor and good vibes fill the venue, creating a true bohemian vibe. The bride and groom, Tiffany and Joey, share: Not only did we love the owners of this venue, we also fell in love with the open landscape/free range we were allowed to use for our wedding weekend. We were truly able to utilize our creativity and passion for design.

I never had a wedding theme or color. I would see items and place them together as they fit. I tried sticking with earthy colors and gold and decided to place all of my bridesmaids in white. An idea everyone hated… until they didn’t! After seeing the design come together, every one was amazed with how rad it looked. As the day came near, we had moved our entire décor collection into a storage unit and order a U-Haul to transfer all of the pieces to the venue, the Friday before the wedding. Joey and I, along with our family, set up the venue the Friday and Saturday before the wedding, which was special and meaningful to us.

Ready to see how they transformed the space into a moody, bohemian paradise? Let’s peep at the photos captured by Greg Petersen!

The Ceremony

Wolf Feather Honey Farm Wedding

I decided to avoid getting a wedding designer for multiple reasons, which made this wedding turn into one giant DIY project. I did however have an amazing day or coordinator: Emily Brune. From the moment we returned from our engagement in Italy, I began collecting vintage wedding décor items to use on our special day. I had previously taken up collecting vintage glassware and home décor for over a year and was able to pull many pieces for our wedding.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Pick a venue that allows you to have free range to express your design sense. So many venues offer the same cookie cutter packages, which limits you. Be free with your ideas and find a venue owner who will let you be just that.

Be organized with your planning. Get to know your vendors! These professionals play a huge role in turning your special day into everything you dreamed of. They are not just people you hire. They are creative, important people who can help you make your day go smoothly or horribly. You decide.

I decided to hold our wedding on a Sunday, even though we had the venue from Thursday to Monday. Sundays were the days that my grandmother and I would spend quality time together and even though she wasn’t with us anymore, I wanted to make sure she was remembered and with us in spirit. A lot of the wedding was dedicated to those who had left us.

I had one table set up with vintage photos of our loved ones who had passed on. I also set up a table with all of our parents and grandparents wedding photos on their wedding days.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

My favorite memory of the day was the moment it started to rain in the middle of our first dance, which made for some amazing memories and photographs. Our wedding was pretty intimate with 100 of our closest family and friends. Not one person seemed to care about the weather and continued to enjoy the moment. Seeing everyone in their element, free spirited, dancing and enjoying themselves was exactly how we had pictured our wedding day.

Tiffany shares these (wise) parting words: Stop to take a moment to yourself. Stop to take a moment with your partner. Don’t worry about what others are doing. This wedding is going to happen with or without you being worried or stressed. No one wants to work with, or be around stressed people on a happy day. Choose wisely in a partner, as well as those you want surrounding/supporting you that day. Your main and only objective is to love and be loved. Fall in love with every moment. Even when things do not go your way or how you expected them to.

Girl knows what she’s talking about! Congratulations, you two!
