Welcome to the Jungle: a famous Guns N’ Roses song, and also the inspiration for this couple’s wild, lush, and magical welcome party on Mexico’s Pacific coast!
When Paige Mycoskie and Jessica Martin started planning their wedding day (or should we say wedding weekend) with the Mae&Co Creative team, they knew it wasn’t going to be your typical ceremony. Paige, the founder of the California lifestyle brand Aviator Nation and a longtime audiophile, wanted the celebration to reflect the couple’s love for design, music, and, most importantly, each other. The result? A three-day, immersive Love Fest filled with unforgettable experiences, custom touches, and their very own music festival.
First on the agenda: A welcome party nestled in the jungle of Mexico’s One&Only Mandarina resort, where guests were invited to take a walk on the wild side. There were aerial dancers. There were cliffside views. There was even a performance from the brides!

Welcome to the Jungle

The iconic One&Only resort in Mexico is what jungle dreams are made of! Perched on a cliffside and surrounded by dense vegetation, it feels like you’ve escaped to another world. We love a unique wedding venue!

To bring their bold vision to life, Paige and Jess tapped Mae&Co Creative to handle the full planning, design, production, and vendor sourcing for their welcome event.
“The vibe was sexy, moody, and unexpected — designed to feel like a hidden speakeasy in the cliff-side jungle,” said Manda, one of the creative minds behind the celebration.

Speaking of unexpected, Aragon Artists brought in an entire cast of performers to set the tone for the evening. Starting with these live bongo drummers!

Next on the lineup were these glamorous greeters, who welcomed guests in serious style.

Did someone say style? The dress code was animal print meets tropical chic, and these guests delivered. Check out our dress code guides for more style inspo for your event!
Meet The Princesses of the Jungle

Introducing: the golden girls of the jungle! For their attire, the brides-to-be shone in glamorous gold fringe dresses, which Paige designed from scratch. We would expect nothing less from the iconic fashion designer!

The inspo for their crystal-adorned attire? Jungle princesses.

The dresses were made entirely of beads and crystals, including Swarovski crystals for the bodices. One word: iconic!

To complete the dazzling look, Jess paired her glittering dress with sky-high gold heels from Prada. We found a similar pair here!

The final touch for their welcome outfits? These totally unique bridal makeup looks. SO perfect for their festival wedding theme!

And what would a festival wedding be without a performance from the brides to kick things off?! Paige and Jess made their grand entrance by shredding these electric guitars. It doesn’t get much cooler than that.
A Lush Cliffside Dinner

Even dinner was an unforgettable experience for this welcome party! As Manda told us, “We brought in Moroccan-inspired lounge pockets, layered lighting, and velvet textures, and infused the space with dramatic chandeliers and tropical plant life.“

Can we get some commotion for that green canopy designed by Mae&Co Creative and executed by VVR Productions? Dramatic drapery is one of our top wedding trends for 2025, and we love how this design is inspired by the jungle landscape.

A moment for these round tables! To add dimension to the space, the designer mixed different table layouts, as well as multiple seating styles. For more inspo, check out our round-up of unique reception table designs here!

We’re also loving these wild animal print place cards. They pop next to the lush emerald green color palette!

Let’s Get Wild!

What’s a welcome party without a party?! Dinner was followed by drinks, dancing, and…

…epic performances!

“The night came alive with bongo drummers, dynamic aerialist performances, and a surprise jungle concert by Vandaluxe on a custom-built stage,” said Manda. “It was high-energy, transportive, and totally unhinged in the best way possible.“

The vibe of the night was definitely wild in love! From the free-spirited entertainment to the animal print guest attire, the jungle spirit was alive and well.

Another wild touch to the event? These jungle leopard cocktail napkins!

Now that’s what we call a welcome party! And the best is still yet to come…check out Jess and Paige’s rehearsal dinner and the wedding day here!
