about us
I'm Kristen from Better With You Photography. I photograph elopements and weddings because I believe in marriage and I love love. It's truly an honor to be present for the day where couples take that forever step. There is a real energy created on a wedding or elopement day. You can feel it in the air and I love to be around it. My style is about capturing each couple naturally and authentically. I hope when you look at my photos, you see real emotions and how much they love each other. I hope my photos look natural and relaxed. Let's face it, nobody loves being in front of the camera and so it is my job to make sure the couple feels comfortable and are able to be themselves. I love the psychology side of it! No fake smiles or awkward poses here! I have shot elopements and weddings in as diverse settings as the rural countryside of Ireland, the sandy beaches of Mexico, the skyscraper jungle of NYC, and in my neighbor's living room. I still tear up during the parent dances. I feel grateful for the trust couples put in me and seek to create a body of images that show the heart of the couple, the beauty of the day, and that will be treasured for generations to come. I'm only for couples who look at their partner and think, "Life is better with you." Things I love: my family/friends, soy lattes, antique jewelry, global purses/bags I collect while abroad, massages, peonies, all holidays, wandering in new cities, and random acts of kindness. I have two beautiful little girls, a supportive and adventurous hubby, and our health...and so, I have everything.
