Such fun inspiration today for the artistic couple! Vince is an art history professor and Olivia is a painter. Maybe it was destiny’s unmistakable set up that they first met at an art exhibit. Both inspired by the abstract expressionist painter, Jackson Pollock, they frequented galleries or museums on weekends for the past two years they dated. Now for their wedding, they wish to re-create their passionate moments and their undying love for art + painting. The shoot was inspired by lots of gorgeous watercolors (in the paper details + cake) and Jackson Pollock (in the backdrop + macaroons).
Each table was labeled with an artist name. The Escort card/guest favor was a mini palette & paint set! :)
The dining table details include: a DIY hand painted canvas backdrop, DIY hand painted paper color wheel charger, paint can centerpieces, paint palette appetizer plates, a watercolor painted menu and painted utensils.
The sign in table includes a canvas to paint for the bride + groom.
Love the watercolor painted cake and the Pollock inspired macaroons + mini cupcakes along with the hand painted dessert menu.
Fun behind the scenes film of the shoot thanks to Loyd Calomay Films.
Anyone planning on incorporating any watercolor or other painted details into their wedding? Would love to hear about them in the comments. :)

This shoot is simply gorgeous! My soon-to-be-husby and I are incorporating several watercolor aspects into our wedding, including an orange/pink ombre invitation suite from Minted. I also hand-painted paper for our direction cards, seating cards, and table settings in similar tones. I love the beauty that such a simple concept can bring, and this shoot just proves how incredibly breathtaking watercolors can be!

I saw once this idea to “watercolor” tablecloths by putting RIT dye in mist/ spray bottles and spraying it on, varying the shades as you go. It looked so beautiful and I def want to try it…
