Color Comes First: A Vibrant Wedding in Pittsburgh Full of Brilliant Blooms

Christina + Tucker had both just moved home to Pittsburgh after living in other cities when they met at a party one night. And the romance that followed led them to this classic yet colorful wedding day that we are completely in love with. 

Pittsburgh venue Franklin on Penn served as the perfect backdrop for this vibrant celebration’s reception, its regal-meets-industrial vibes supporting both the joyful color palette and the sophisticated energy of the day’s design.

“The bride told the wedding planner + event designer Tori from La Eventor that she had creative freedom!” says photographer Meg Lee. “Her only request was COLOR.”

You can’t help but smile looking at this playful pink, orange, and chartreuse color palette. And we are obsessed with the way Christina + Tucker’s wedding balanced all of that funky, vivid color with a sense of elegant romance.

We simply cannot get over these lush, cascading, color blocked floral creations from The Farmer’s Daughter Flowers.

The real show stopping statement decor piece of the day was this colorful custom dance floor.

Also, how gorgeous are Christina’s chic middle-parted down-do from Makeup and Hair by Claire and elegantly glam bridal makeup by Mirage by Karma?

“The guests received a film camera as their escort card,” remembers photographer Meg Lee, “and they were encouraged to fill them with photos of friends and family so the pictures could be cherished forever.”

Such a playful wedding reception seating chart idea! And so fun that the cameras’ little boxes matched the rest of the swirly marbled paper goods!

OMG! The little hand drawn accents paying tribute Christina + Tucker’s pup Pierogi! We love to see couples come up with creative ways to include their pets in their big day.

The abstract, multi-color tablecloth and chartreuse napkins from Mosaic paired so perfectly together.

And black guest seating from All Occasions Party Rental tied together the table decor’s black accents and the dance floor’s wavy black borders.

The dance floor was so bright and vibrant, and I think that encouraged people to dance all night.
