The 60s were a legendary decade! Between the amazing hairstyles, the birth of disco, and the free love movement, it’s no wonder the 60s are still relevant today. This wedding inspiration takes it up a notch with abundant florals and bold color – including a cameo by Very Peri, Pantone’s Color of the Year!
Mack & Main Events took this inspiration from the 60s and supercharged it into something you can take into 2022 (and love forever)! Museum Lab was the ideal venue to bring this concept to life with its spaciousness and light-pouring windows. Florals by May Chester Designs were the main eye-catcher and a huge part of what makes us feel SO inspired by this styled shoot! Finally, photographer Eva Lin brought the magic to life on camera. Ready to get inspired yourself? Let’s go!
Psychedelic Love
Oh Joyful Day created these stunning multicolored wedding invitations, complete with sweet little disco balls!
A unique wedding calls for unique gemstones to go with it. This purple stoned engagement ring by Henne Jewelers is the key to leaning into a fun, vintage vibe. Oh, and a diamond band for the groom sure doesn’t hurt, either!
How AMAZING is this floral ceremony arch and aisle combo?! This color palette is everything we love about the 60s. Peaches and pinks were hugely popular in that era, so it’s only right that it shines here as well! Very Peri as the primary color is the exact touch needed to bring this style into your modern-day wedding.
A romantic wedding gown is guaranteed to bring a softened, sweet look to your wedding day. Bride Kiara still gave a nod to the 60s in her wedding day style with hair inspired by icon Brigitte Bardot.
These billowy sleeves are giving us major Donna Summer vibes. A true 60s and 70s queen!
Our groom Marquel stunned in a tailored lilac suit.
A colorful cut-crease eye look is perfectly on-par with the wedding’s theme, and still soft enough to look back on and love in the future.
Disco It Out!
‘There’s nothing more fun and modern than a balloon garland! This creative display perfectly brings the colors of the day into exciting decor for guests to see.
Don’t forget the signature drinks! Both cocktails and mocktails are enjoyed in this beautiful display (and are still on theme). Lavender lemonade and a peach sangria are fool-proof options your guests will adore.
Props make everything better! Bringing in things like colored sunglasses and a photo booth are simultaneously retro and true to modern-day. And we promise – your guests will love it.
Be sure to dance it out on your wedding day! Though the stress has been a lot on you, you made it. So don’t forget to celebrate!
Who doesn’t love a good pop of yellow?! This bright shade perfectly complements the purple and peach tones found throughout the rest of the shoot.
Look at this sweetheart table! It’s absolutely bursting with florals, and we can’t get enough. Ghost chairs are the perfect selection for not detracting from the rest of the decor. Multi-colored pastel candles are just the cherry on top.
These menus are amazing! In addition to being a fun pop of color, your guests will love that each menu was made with their name inscribed on it.
Your ceremony flowers can easily be re-purposed to decorate your reception. If you’re feeling extra bold, center it all around your sweetheart table!
Disco-themed tasty treats are sure to be a crowd favorite. These goodies by Becka Cakes did just the trick!
Andddd for the grand finale, this beautiful floral cake by Alex Robba! We hope you’ve enjoyed this loving, psychedelic wedding inspo as much as we do. Looking for even more wedding content? We’ve got you!
