When most people think of St. Patrick’s Day, the usual associations come to mind: leprechauns, green beer, pots of gold, pinching, right? But the team today (led by  Morgan Trinker Photography and Kelly Dellinger Events) envisioned a wedding loosely inspired by the holiday – with a more modern and subtle interpretation. From the bright color palette (centered around emerald green + gold) to the menu (including mini shepherd’s pies, fish ‘n chips, and Guinness pudding) to the lovely redheaded models (who just so happen to be a real engaged couple with a love for all things Irish themselves!), the feature is full of lots of gorgeousness bringing the Irish influences to life!
For the custom beer bottles, we designed and ordered vinyl stickers from a local sign shop and attached them directly to the bottles.
Here in the South, typically at bridesmaid brunches, there will be a cake with charms attached to ribbons hidden inside. Each girl gets to pull out a ribbon, and it is believed that whichever charm she receives holds a special meaning, offers a nugget of wisdom or advice, or tells her future in some way. But for this shoot, we wanted all of the guests to be able to participate in such a memorable tradition.
We also thought it would be fun to incorporate another element of good luck, so we borrowed a birthday party ritual and had the bride and groom blow out candles on top of the cake to make wishes for their future together.
One of Birmingham’s local craft breweries, Avondale Brewery, has an upstairs loft space that’s the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. It even has a private pub-style bar with all its beers on tap, which was perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day reception.
And the video from the day by Kinora Films.
Thanks so much to all these creatives both Alabama and Tennessee for sharing their talent with us today!

I love all of the little details–especially the charm necklace. And the heart shaped foam on the drink was cute.
