Sometimes, adventure is the answer!
Kelly + Halsey started with a more traditional wedding vision. But facing the planning process, they suddenly realized they would rather jet off just the two of them to someplace totally new.
“Skiing, snowboarding and traveling is our passion,” say Kelly + Halsey, “and we wanted to celebrate our love for each other in the mountains of the Austrian alps where we have never been before.”
In the span of only two weeks, these two had decided to elope, snagged the plane tickets to Austria, packed their wedding looks, and arrived at Hotel Goldener Berg for a snowy, sporty, celebratory day on the slopes.
“Kelly and Halsey’s snowy mountain elopement serves as an inspiring example of embracing adventure, natural beauty, and spontaneity.” says elopement photographer Victoria of Wild Embrace who took these all of stunning shots. “This extraordinary experience reminds us that the pursuit of love and joy can lead to the most unforgettable moments, even in the absence of extensive preparation.”

A Snowy First Look
It was closer to springtime than wintertime when Kelly + Halsey eloped in Austria, so this gorgeous snowfall was a magical surprise!
We are loving Kelly’s low back lace Natalie Maxi Dress from Show Me Your Mumu. Kelly says she went with something with lots of stretch to make sure she’d be able to snowboard in it!!
Dada Blumen created this lush, fern-filled bridal bouquet for Kelly as well as Halsey’s boutonniere. So into the way those bright blues and violets pop agains the winter white of the landscape!
After their first look, Kelly + Halsey hopped on the ski lift to make their way up the mountain for their ceremony!
Mountaintop Vows
Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding Waking up in the morning with 2.5 feet of fresh snow and reading our vows to each other on top of the mountain in the sunshine. Also, skiing/snowboarding down was an incredible memory.

Hair and makeup artist Bibi Rhomberg created Kelly’s half-up half-down curls and low-key, smoky makeup look. The baby’s breath hair florals are such a whimsical, wintery touch!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now Keep it simple and don't over plan. Wild Embrace was the perfect solution for us.
“We always thought about eloping and although it took some time to bring that to life, we could not have been more excited about the wedding day and our trip together,” says the couple. “It allowed us to really make the day about our love for each other without other distractions. Getting married on top of a mountain in Austria and skiing/snowboarding down was the most incredible day for us and we would not have done it any differently.”
