Craft Cocktails and Shiny Tinsel Made This Downtown Denver Wedding a Hit!

Downtown Denver Modern Wedding

Lauren and Jeff lit up the streets of Downtown Denver with their amazing modern wedding. The couple are fans of a few things: great music, craft cocktails, and being bold. Each one of these elements was thoughtfully integrated into their epic wedding weekend, and we’ve got the scoop on all of it!

The wedding planners behind Penny Layne Creative met with Lauren and Jeff, and they instantly clicked. The couple communicated that they wanted to create an unforgettable and undeniably authentic experience for themselves and their guests. This would happen with the added help of other wedding professionals such as photographer Karra Leigh and florist Lale Florals. Together this vendor dream team created an experience Lauren, Jeff, and their guests will never forget!

A Warm Welcome

modern pink and terracotta wedding invitation

Planning your color scheme? Think terracotta and blush, but even better. Lauren and Jeff took this classic winning combination and amped it up with slightly bolder hues. A richer golden shade and pigmented pink made their already-fascinating wedding invitations look all the more beautiful.

Lauren looked picture-perfect with her bridesmaids in mismatched blush dresses.

THIS. DRESS! Lauren wore a stunning, unique gown designed by Daughters of Simone. The form-fitting dress fit her with ease, and the cap sleeves looked like flower petals delicately placed on her shoulders. Not to mention, the boho pattern is a dream come true!

All-black tuxedos will never go out of style!

We love seeing new twists on trends, and this pampas grass installation is next level! In addition to the fluffy bouquets, dried palm spears and creamy white orchids made an appearance. The ceremony display was finished off with creative and exciting pops of orange.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Call us suckers, but the ceremony was so so special. And after a COVID postponement, seeing these two tie the knot the way they had always envisioned was truly remarkable and reminded us why we do this in the first place.

Reception to Remember

As lovers of quality cocktails, Jeff and Lauren made sure their guests were served the very best. Oak and Olive created fun and imaginative cocktails for all to enjoy.

Arch candle holders

We are certainly believers that less is more, and this understated cocktail hour decor is a true testament to that.

Round acrylic seating chart

Disco weddings are trending, and we’re obsessed with this take on a disco ball seating chart! The round acrylic sign was the perfect ode to the thriving nature of the disco scene.

Indoor exposed brick wedding reception

The disco theme carried over into the reception with this ahhhhmazing tinsel installation! The iridescent silver shade glimmered as the sun was setting, and guests were transported into an otherworldly disco haven.

Terracotta and blush table setting

For the place settings, chic matte black perfectly complemented the tan and pink tones. If you’re afraid of getting creative with colors and textures in your wedding, this is your sign to give it a try!

Dinner was served family-style and catered by the couple’s favorite restaurant, Señor Bear. Guests were treated to yummy dishes such as kale and brussels salad, smoked chicken, halibut, and grilled short ribs. To round out the menu with something sweet, churro-inspired desserts were the finishing touch.
