“At the heart of our wedding were two things we cared about most: our love and our style,” say Lexi + Dave of how they approached the planning for the Rhode Island wedding. “We wanted a celebration that felt like home – Rhode Island at its truest – and a design that was bright, joyful, and unapologetically us.”
Bride Lexi was born + raised on Block Island, a charming spot out in the coastal waters just east of Montauk and just south of Rhode Island’s southern shore. As Lexi describes it, it’s a place “where summers are salty and slow and where seafood isn’t just food, it’s a love language.” For the couple, Block Island is full of meaning + memories, so they knew that’s where they had to say “I do.”
Lexi + Dave chose The Atlantic Inn as their wedding venue and teamed up with planners + event designers from Carissa Corsi Events to set about creating a day with “a design that felt bold, cheerful, and a little cheeky.”
Coastal chic blended beautifully with a color drenched reception vibe full of sunny yellow stripes, chartreuse accents, pearl studded fruit, breezy textures, and lots of playful details. There was even a bespoke martini bar built just for the occasion where guest could sip + savor the couple’s favorite cocktails. Lexi stunned in a strapless Sarah Seven dress with a elegant, billowing scarf. But the day’s impeccable style + decor were just the beginning for these newlyweds.
“Most importantly, we designed the day around what we love most: great cocktails, incredible food, and the people who mean everything to us,” Lexi + Dave say. “If it felt like a dream cocktail hour that never ended, we knew we did it right.”
The whole day was nonstop coastal bliss + beauty with the Atlantic as a backdrop – these gorg photos from Desert Pine Co are all the proof you need – and Lexi + Dave remember it that way, too: “In the end, our wedding was a love letter: to each other, to Block Island, and to the bright, salty, summery joy that shaped us.”

Lexi started off the day in full bloom with a blush pink floral getting ready look: the ROSAMOSARIO Blooming Allure belted floral-print silk-chiffon robe to be exact!

Matching rings for all her besties! What a brilliant keep-forever bridesmaid gift!

The minimal simplicity of those ocean blue and white invites by Cava Creative! So classic + coastal!
Also: obsessed with those Gucci Women’s Horsebit sandals and the fact that Lexi rocked Bal D’Afrique by Byredo as her signature wedding day scent.

These yellow + green bridesmaid dresses are sheer citrus-tone perfection.

Dave set himself apart from his tuxedoed crew by opting for the Off-White Tailored Fit Havana Dinner Jacket from SuitSupply.

This groom’s accessory game was strong: He finished his wedding day look with this silk crêpe bow tie by Gucci and a pair of Gucci Men’s Gucci Jordaan loafers.

The Ceremony

“The groom had one request: a violinist,” the couple recalls. “As guests arrived, Vivian Luo played a mix of classical and Top 40 songs, greeting everyone with a smile and moving effortlessly through the space.”

Shade Studio brought the couple’s bright + cheerful vision to life with these white + summer-green florals that look so organic in the charming seaside garden party world.

A Moment Alone After “I Do”

“When we look back on our wedding, one word comes to mind: joy,” the couple shares. “The love, support, and happiness we felt from our favorite place, Block Island, and from everyone who traveled to celebrate with us was truly palpable.”

“Finding our wedding day attire ended up being one of the most fun parts of the planning process,” say Lexi + Dave of their journey to these impeccable looks.

“For the bride, a trip to New York City led to the moment, trying on her dream dress from Sarah Seven.”

“It was one of those experiences where you just know, and everything else fell into place.”

(Btw, loving everything about Lexi’s sleek wedding updo by Ali Lomazzo Beauty and warm glam wedding makeup by Aline Sarkis Beauty.)

“For the groom, the vision was clear from the start: clean, classic, and coastal.”

“Together, our looks reflected the same tone as the day itself: timeless, effortless, and finished with a subtle Italian twist.”

The Reception

The couple calls the reception’s hallmark yellow stripes “the heartbeat of our design” and “a full-blown obsession Lexi couldn’t quit.”

“They became the soul of our day: bold, cheerful, a little cheeky. We paired them with chartreuse, pearl-studded fruit, custom seashell menus, and layered textures of glass, citrus, and modern monochromatic florals to create a look that felt fresh, coastal, and effortlessly fun.”
Cheers to linens from Luxe Linen and specialty rentals from Pranzi for bringing the sunny, stripe-y vision to life!

Guests enjoyed a delicious coastal dinner prepared by the venue itself, The Atlantic Inn.

A Martini Moment

“Our greatest pride, though, was our martini moment,” say the bride + groom. “We’re cocktail-hour people to the core, and it was nonnegotiable to have a custom martini bar inspired by our Italian roots.”

“We hand-selected every glass, garnish, and spirit, building a bar that became the buzzing center of the night.”

“Tucked against the pearly-white Atlantic Inn in the historic district, it brought a touch of vintage charm to our modern coastal aesthetic, the perfect expression of who we are as a couple.”

The floral corset bodice. The arched drop waist. The pleated skirt. The scarf. Lexi’s bridal silhouette was one of the most unique wedding dresses we’ve seen this year!

A sunny, Block Island wedding in August? A chic pair of bridal sunglasses — absolutely mandatory.

The Celebration Continues

Our Favorite Memory
One of our most unforgettable moments came when we stepped back together and took it all in. Looking into the tent, we were struck by the way the sun settled along one side, making the yellow stripes glow, while a full moon rose quietly at our backs.
It was a rare pause in the day, the kind you don’t plan for. We grabbed martinis from our custom bar, stood hand in hand, and watched the joy, laughter, and love filling the tent. It’s a feeling and a memory neither of us will ever forget.

Our Musical Choices
ProcessionalThe bridal party walked down the aisle to "Next to Me" by RÜFÜS DU SOL. Once everyone was seated, the bride made her entrance to "Simply the Best" by Noah Reid, a moment that felt intimate and emotional.First DanceWe were then announced as Mr. and Mrs. Kling and stepped straight into our first dance to "Stayin’ Alive" by The Bee Gees, setting the pace for the night ahead.

A DJ from Meritage was on hand to keep Lexi, Dave, and their guests up and dancing.

Our Advice
Our advice is simple: lead with intention. Wedding planning doesn’t have to be stressful if you stay focused on what actually matters. We knew this day marked both the beginning and the continuation of our story together.
We wanted to celebrate with the people we love without losing ourselves in the process. Having a clear vision and approaching decisions as a team made everything feel aligned and natural.
Our priorities were clear. Love, good food, and the best martini you can find.

Of their cheeky coastal wedding day, Lexi + Dave say: “There isn’t a single thing we would change.”
And we don’t blame them! This Rhode Island celebration was a joyful, sunny, stripe-filled spectacular. We’ll raise a martini to that! All the best from GWS!
