Logan and Alex’s love story is one that has been in the works for a long time. Logan had been in love with her since college but never had the chance to express his true feelings. One day, Logan mustered up the courage to text her how he felt about her…but due to being out of the country at the time, she never received the text!Â
Years later, they found themselves carpooling up to Lake Tahoe. Logan asked why Alex never responded to his text, and then their love story truly began! Of course, Lake Tahoe became the perfect wedding destination for the happy couple. Miranda Weisenbach of Mira Wed helped them bring their vision of a rustic summer wedding to fruition. Their photographer, Rachel Artime beautifully captured the joyful emotions of the day. Read on to see how this love story culminated into their wedding day!
Getting the Girls Ready
Every girl wants a bride squad like this! The ladies spent the morning getting ready in the cutest matching pajamas and were ready to celebrate their friend’s big moment.Â
Alex admits to being a bit of an indecisive bride when it came to finding the perfect dress. It happens to most brides! After shopping at four different boutiques, she finally found the fit of her dreams in an Alyssa Kristin gown. The simplicity and timelessness of the silhouette offered her the security that she would love looking back on for years to come.Â
The very last dress I tried on was everything I was hoping for. It was simple and classic, something I could look back on in 50 years and still love. I also loved how I could take off the shoulder straps and bustle the dress and it gave me a new look without an outfit change. You only get to wear a wedding dress once!
First looks don’t just have to be for the bride and groom! A finished-look reveal to her wedding party was the perfect way to pour in love and support before going down the aisle.
And we’re off!
Logan and his friends looked quite dapper in their sleek navy blue suits.
Just a Touch
The couple chose to forego a ‘first look’ in favor of a ‘first touch’ instead. A great option for those who don’t fully want to see each other before the altar, but want to still calm those nerves a bit! Logan was able to read a beautiful letter to Alex that he wrote the day before he proposed to her. Such a sentimental moment – and Logan’s most memorable of the day!
Nostalgic Summer Nights
Processional: Love Like This by Lauren Daigle Recessional: Crazy Little Thing Called Love by The Beatles First Dance: Joy of My Life by Chris Stapleton
When determining the right feel for their wedding, Alexandra and Logan had this to say:
We drew most inspiration from the setting of the venue, tucked in a valley beneath big mountain peaks, tall pine trees, and golden summer hues. We wanted the day to feel like an intimate and nostalgic summer night. I grew up skiing at this mountain and it has always held a special place in my heart.
I’d have to say walking down the aisle and locking eyes with my soon-to-be husband for the first time was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of my life. When I saw him standing there, at the place I had dreamed of getting married at since I was a little girl, and tears flooded his eyes, it literally took my breath away!
We absolutely adore how much love the bridesmaids had for their dear friend while she walked towards her groom.
Husband and wife…finally!
A Moment to Celebrate
Alexandra and Logan made sure to show off their fabulous wedding bands post-ceremony!
I know it’s much easier said than done, but try not to sweat the small stuff and enjoy the process! Being engaged and planning a wedding is such an exciting and temporary season of life. Don’t let the little details weigh you down. At the end of the day, you won’t remember what every detail looked like as much as how you felt! Also, ask for help when you need it!
Alex’s subtle color palette in her bouquet was the perfect delicate touch to her simple and sophisticated wardrobe.
 Evening of Love
Wood-grained tables offered the exact rustic touch the couple wanted. A white table runner, gold flatware, and understated greenery perfectly tied into the theme. The end result was something simple, stunning, and chic.
Congratulations to Alex and Logan! Your love story is truly amazing and your wedding was the perfect reflection of that.
