We will never turn down the opportunity to travel to Italy…especially when it involves tons and TONS of romance! Olga and Lesha said their vows in the majestic Dolomites in northeastern Italy, and in case that doesn’t sound enchanting enough—they were surrounded by clouds of flowers (you’ll see what we mean!), had a picnic on a mountain top, and then spent the evening amongst the canoes.
The two tell us: We wanted our feelings to be completely fastened and in maximum unity with nature—as if there was only sky, earth, mountains and ourselves. With the help of the organizer (Dolcevita Italy Wed) and decorators, we created the ideal concept for our wedding day and decided that we would spend the morning on the shores of the fantastic Lake Braies, and then move to the top of the mountain—closer to the sky, where we would exchange vows on a cloud of flowers. We chose a place for the ceremony with special care. We had previously visited many places and meadows, and as a result we stopped at Passo Gardena with its enchanting views of both the mountain ranges and the green plains.

The Location
Lago di Braies (also referred to as Lake Braies or Pragser Wildsee in German) is known as the Pearl amongst all the Dolomite lakes, and it’s served as the backdrop for a popular Italian TV show: Un passo dal cielo.
What a space to spend the morning and relax!
Olga shares: Despite the fact that it was the height of the Italian summer, it was very cold in the mountains in the morning. But this did not stop me and later I was already walking barefoot on the beach, touching the water and enjoying nature.

The Ensembles

For the wedding ceremony, Olga wanted something romantic and natural. She opted for this light + airy dress, a slightly messy hairstyle, and light makeup to complement her natural beauty. 
So romantic!!
To the Mountain
The dramatic rock formations are the crowning feature for this region in Italy. Surrounded by verdant meadows, incredible hiking and biking trails, along with powdery slopes in the winter, this place is a DREAM.

A Field of White
After their first look and hike up the mountain, the two found themselves in a cloud of white flowers. Mimicking the clouds that hung low and clung to the rocks, Inlove Atelier brought in tons of Baby’s Breath to create this intimate field.
The flowers were organic and wild and served as a very creative frame, and was the perfect place for these two to exchange vows written on handmade parchment.

Afterwards, these two shared a delightful picnic with views for DAYS.
The ceremony continued with a cozy and colorful picnic of local produce on the top of the mountain, which was the perfect way to complete the day.

1. Try to relax on your wedding day and really relax—don’t worry that something will be wrong or at the wrong time. We did so and completely devoted ourselves to each other and our feelings.
2. If you are still thinking whether you need an organizer or not, I will definitely tell you: you need one! After all, on such an important day!
By the Lake
Then, it was time to head to the docks…
Olga shares: Our first trip together was in the Dolomites. We are in love with the country and the mountains, so we decided it would be the perfect place. At first, I attempted to organize everything on my own, but in the end, I realized that it would be much more effective if I left everything in the hands of professionals.

We’ve seen quite a bit of magic coming out of the Dolomites lately (like this Wild + Free Summertime Elopement in the Italian Dolomites)…there’s no surprise as to why it’s on our list of must-visit places, is there? Wow, that ring of flowers was an amazingly great location for them to say their vows. I mean, the mountains, the boat, the lake, they were all great. I’m sure the couple had an amazing experience.
