Wild and adventurous elopements are popping up everywhere. We’re seeing so many couples embrace this version of the wedding; they introduce epic backdrops, wild and unexplored areas, and their photographer captures some of the coolest shots. The vision for this shoot came about from this elopement trend and wanting to bring it to the Dolomites in Italy. Photographer, Lilly Red Creative, shares Scouting a place that we had never been before to find the perfect spot wasn’t easy. We drove nearly 900 miles in three days, going to explore different sites and hearing about different spots from tourists and locals. If you believe in what you are doing, even when it’s hard to do, the determination will give way to success and seeing your results! The awesome photographs and amazing experience are proof of that.

Ok, ready to see this wild + free elopement in the Dolomites, planned by Benevent Planner? Let’s take a look!!
Isn’t this the absolute sweetest?!
Lilly shares In recent years, it has become more common to find alpacas in the mountains, introduced from abroad. They thrive in this environment and these animals are very curious and playful. Driving through the mountains, we were able to find an alpaca ranch — Maso Eden Alpaca Farm — where we were able to explore and interact with these great animals. We wanted to celebrate their return after years…and we were really crazy for them!
Getting married in summertime in Italy can be challenging. The summer months can get very hot and the country becomes full of tourists that tend to overwhelm some of the charm and intimacy of the small towns. Italy is still one of the most dreamy places to get married so we decided to showcase a destination that usually gets more visibility in the winter months. For this elopement inspirational, we chose the breathtaking Italian Dolomites, the mountain range forming into the Great Alps. On the mountains, the air is so crisp and fresh and the views are grand.
That dazzling jeweled headpiece? It’s handmade with a variety of stones from Guinevere Vines.
The ceremony was held at Braies Lake, known for its emerald waters. Everything was kept simple, letting the stunning scenery speak for itself. The ceremony space was frame with a coconut carpet and vases filled with dried flowers to follow the style of the bouquet.
All the rings from Starling Jewelry — crafted in Downtown Los Angeles — added an elegant simplicity.
The bouquet by Chiara Sperti Floral Events was wrapped with a white leather fringe, handmade for this occasion and definitely gave a beautiful movement to the photos.
Even the alpacas wanted in on the action…
A spread of fantastical florals, dripping candles, and those gorgeous fringe placemats!
Seriously STUNNING, right?!
