Ingrid + Brian wanted to have a fun wedding with their closest friends and family. The Club at Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls, Ohio was the perfect location for their reception. I’m loving the use of succulents + dahlias in their day and the gorgeous photos captured by Clayton Austin. Congrats to Ingrid + Brian!
Processional: Hoppipolla – Sigur Ros
Recessional: This Will Be Our Year – the Zombies
First Dance: First Day of My Life – Bright Eyes
Ingrid: The beginning: seeing Brian tearing up at the altar waiting for me. The end: feeling the love of our friends and family who encircled us on the dance floor singing We Are Young at the top of their lungs. And every moment in between! It was so special and surreal to have everyone you know together in one place celebrating you.
Brian: We didn’t do a first look, and during rehearsal I didn’t watch as she walked down the aisle, so seeing Ingrid in her dress for the first time when the doors opened is something I'll never forget.
Love the details by Ingrid including the chalkboard sign above and the succulent book planters (DIY for the book planters can be found here).
Get a planner – it is completely worth it. Stay true to your dream. Roll with any last minute changes – you can only plan for so much and things are only as big of a deal as you make them. Breathe. Laugh. Let the love overwhelm you. It is an amazing feeling!
We had friends give us the advice “with so much going into the wedding, don’t forget about the marriage.” We were so thankful for the book “10 Conversations to Have Before You Get Married” by Guy Grenier and would recommend it to anyone thinking about getting married.
