This epic love story needed an equally epic wedding to celebrate the passion and love that this couple shares for one another! This whimsical wedding located at Domaine de Merlac in Rieussec, France is going to make you fall head over heels… just trust us.
The bride, Yolanda, and the wedding planner, Anastasia with Anastasia Martini – Weddings & Events, developed the style and design of the wedding together. It was very clear from the start that the couple wanted a very natural romantic vibe with elements of gold, green, beige and white which florist Poppy Figue capitalized on. Earthy tones and pampas were the motto!! The Frenchy Mood beautifully captured this whirlwind of a day, and we think it’s time we show you the magic! Let’s go!

A Fairytale in France

Finally seeing one another at the altar and additionally all the great, heartwarming, tearful and funny speeches that were given that day by our friends and family.
On the 20th of June, 2020, after asking her mother for her hand, groom Moritz asked Yolanda to marry him on a trip to Prague! How romantic!
Then a year later, on the 27th of August 2021, the couple celebrated their civil wedding in Copenhagen. A beautiful wedding ceremony with just the bride and groom. Now, it’s time for the big wedding with M + Y’s closest family and friends!
They did it! These two are husband and wife!
This bride radiates pure beauty!! Her gorgeous gown was found at Das Brautzimmer and I think we can all agree she looks simply stunning! We just adore a lace wedding gown!!
These bridesmaids stuck to the olive green tones seen previously in their getting ready robes!
The Beautiful Love Story
Yolanda and Moritz met right after Christmas in 2017, and the couple’s first date was no ordinary one. Instead of meeting for an hour or two, they spent 10 hours straight together! I guess when you know… you really know!
“We met in the late afternoon of a cold winter day and after a stroll, we went to a café and had a couple of coffees and cake. Since we did not want it to end already, we decided to watch an old-fashioned movie in a cinema nearby. We still didn’t want the date to end and then went to a bar!
When we both were kicked out of the bar for closing (3am) Moritz snatched a little rose on the go and accompanied me on my ride home. Charmed from this very first 10h-first-date we decided to meet again the very next day and the day after. For the next couple of months, we met every day!”
“During the week we were always in different cities for work, but we did everything for the existence of our relationship. As our relationship developed, we were delighted to discover that our values were in complete alignment. But we also learned and discovered new things to love from each other:
Yolanda learned ~45 DIN-A4 pages of rules to play board games with Moritz. Moritz – in return – started learning Kizomba, being stuck on the first lesson for 4-6 consecutive sessions, and did not give up. Yolanda became a loving supporter (borderline hooligan) of the 1. FC Köln in the stadium to show her affection, Moritz learned the 1-on-1 of hair and beauty products, e.g. he can now tell differences between crochets and a wig and he can differentiate at least 3 Kardashians [shame on him!!!]”
Such a dream! This handsome groom is dressed head to toe in Monokel!

Planner Anastasia shares: The goal was to keep the vibe elegant and not too rustic. It was very fun to design this beautiful wedding and make sure that every detail from the stationery to the flowers and cutlery was in harmony!

As if this day couldn’t get any better… this decadent beauty by La Marquise d’Izora truly was the best way to close out the day. This wedding was an absolute dream, and we extend the biggest congrats to Yolanda and Moritz!
