If you’re a lover of old vinyl records, thrifted decor, and ’70s-inspired clothing, you’re going to fall in love with this elopement. Loukia and Harrison’s intimate day is filled with retro ideas! With bright yellow fabrics and a psychedelic “Groovy Baby” wall display used as the initial inspiration, event planner Amelia from Amelia Carleton Wedding and Event Planning brought the ’70s to life for this couple. Over the course of several months leading up to the elopement, Amelia hand-picked vintage signs, decor pieces and dishes, and even pulled vinyl out of her personal collection to create the perfect setting for Loukia and Harrison. Allycia from AM Floral Studio was also enlisted to use her magic and create the floral installations, bouquets, and centerpieces that paired well with the elopement’s retro theme.
Along with the vintage throwback details and whimsical flower arrangements, the couple also leaned into her elopement’s design concept when it came to their attire. Loukia wore the most perfect champagne-toned patterned dress from Darling Vintage, where Harrison looked dapper in a retro linen suit that Amelia says was “the perfect throwback without being too disco, and also comfy in the summer heat.”
Bleeks and Bergamot served as the couple’s venue and also allowed for them to share a mini picnic a short walk away from their ceremony site, as well as take portraits following their nuptials in the property’s cornfield.
Let’s have a look at the photos by Danielle Aisling!
The invitations and wedding-day signage featured a golden hour-inspired color palette along with 70s-themed lettering.
How cool is this backdrop? We can definitely see how this inspired the rest of the day’s groovy details and decor.
Following their nuptials, they had an intimate dinner to celebrate.
The couple opted to have a two-tiered cake for cutting. The confection featured a rust-like color and a modern frosted design.
Fun fact: The bride and groom are both film photographers, so naturally a few of their portraits were edited in a unique way.
Congrats to Louika and Harrison! Want to see more elopements? We’ve got you covered #onGWS!
