Rachael DeVaux – who you might know better as Rachaelsgoodeats on Instagram – is married to her high school sweetheart, Bridger! The two met way back when they were in middle school and reconnected towards the tail end of their high school careers. Since then, the couple have been together for 11 years!
We actually dated for a few months [in middle school] but he broke up with me because I didn’t say “I love you” back on the phone… Anyways, we got back together during my senior year and his junior year of HS when our friends paired us up to go to a Homecoming dance together. The rest is history!
The couple worked with Events by Bliss to create the boho-chic wedding of their dreams in Los Cabos, Mexico at The Cape Hotel. Photographer Marcella Laine brought every photo to life in a way that the couple won’t soon forget. Dying to see the deets of this wedding? Let’s get into it!
Young Love
While to couple originally planned a 6-month engagement, COVID had other plans. The two tied the knot at a private ceremony with only their parents in attendance and later held their dream wedding celebration on April 25, 2021.
Rachael’s ring is a stunning oval cut ring on a gold band!
The blushing bride excitedly approached her groom for their first look. The anticipation was so strong!
Behind every beautiful wedding is an amazing proposal story! The couple was vacationing in (you guessed it!) Cabo for their nine-year anniversary when Bridger invited Rachael aboard a sunset cruise. Unfortunately, the engagement photographer wasn’t quite as disguised as they had hoped! Though the secret was out that a proposal was to come, the romance was not lost.
We were posing for photos out by El Arco and the next thing I know, I turned around and he had dropped to one knee and popped the question! It was a little nerve-wracking because there were so many boats around us, but they ended up giving us applause once I said “Yes!”, which was really cute. We went back to the hotel and he brought me to the beach where he had a private movie screen set up with popcorn, lounge chairs & drinks, playing The Social Network, which was the very first movie we saw together on our first date. It was so thoughtful and romantic, I’ll never forget it!
You didn’t think we would leave out dress details, did you?! Rachael wore a jaw-dropping fitted gown by Grace Loves Lace. The nude tone fits so perfectly with the beachside venue!
Fun Fact: Rachael forgot to wear her veil and didn’t realize until the next day! Even so – everything turned out just perfect.
The Girls
Rachael’s bridesmaids were impeccably dressed in satiny pink dresses. They all looked so beautiful!
A little bouquet goes a long way. The bride and her best girlfriends held the prettiest boho bouquets by Cristina Gonzales.
The whole wedding party looked so amazing celebrating their close friends’ vows!
A Beautiful Day to Get Married
The grounds of the resort made for a picture-perfect wedding. All 40 guests were able to enjoy the views of the pool, the sea, and the happy couple.
The ceremony aisle was kept minimal. There’s no need to overdress an already-beautiful location! Touches of pampas grass did just the trick.
The bride was walked down the aisle by her father, wearing a handsome tan suit.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
The couple was whisked away to take photos that will last them a lifetime. Just look at that gorgeous view!
A beautiful sunset always makes the most romantic photos!
I think because all of our guests had been isolated at home for the past year, it was such a breath of fresh air being able to spend time with the ones we love most and for everyone to become closer throughout our whole wedding weekend. It felt like we were all extra grateful to be there and the fact that we got to spend more than three days with everyone for all of our events made things SO much better.
Good Eats
Rachael is known, in part, for her exceptionally delicious recipes. It was only fitting that her guests were treated to some amazing food and drinks! The night kicked off with an exciting round of escort card tequila shots.
The reception space was perched right above the sands and the sea. Guests were able to enjoy great music, great conversation, and the soothing sounds of gentle waves crashing all night long.
The theme for the wedding? Neutral and timeless! Classic black and white tones with hints of sand were the perfect colors to work with. The final look was sleek and elegant, with a hint of playfulness.
The grazing table was absolutely perfect! Between the truffled sheep’s cheese, brie, and fresh fruits, we wouldn’t know where to start!
The happy couple danced the night away in each other’s arms.
Congratulations to Rachael and Bridger! We can’t wait to see what else life has in store for you!

Wow! I’m so in love with these photos, from the wedding to the reception, this looks like a fab couple. I love the dress, the bride is stunning with a figure that I would do anything for. The last pic with the bride and groom (cake) is the best, brides hair is amazing. Love these photos from start to finish, thanks for sharing.
These photos are gorgeous!!! I love the posing, the editing style, all of it!
