Terra Cotta 70s Bridal Inspiration Among the Painted Hills

Dreaming of a desert wedding day? We’ve some beautiful boho desert weddings on GWS, from California to Arizona, but the sandy orange dunes from this bridal inspo certainly caught our desert-lovin’ eye! The landscape created a natural backdrop for the 70s-inspired bride, simple yet stunning in texture in color. Gaby at G. Riggieri Photography explains how she came to find herself among the Painted Hills:

As an East Coast gal, I have always been fascinated with the desert. I caught my first glimpse of it on a road trip through the Southwest a few years ago, and since then I have longed to revisit the humbling vastness that comes with spending time in such a unique place. I stumbled on the Painted Hills while planning a trip to Oregon and knew I needed to plan a shoot here. That terra cotta colored sand was calling my name! So I assembled a small but amazing team of vendors to create some sunset magic.

YES to this dress! To elevate the minimal, 70s vibe the bride wore the Galina Gown by Houghton NYC from The Engligh Dept., paired with earrings from Natalie Joy Jewelry.

The florals were partially foraged by Wild and Wayward on the side of a highway (amazing) and added the perfect amount of pop to the landscape!

Pampas grass (did you catch our 21 Ways to Incorporate Pampas Grass into your Wedding last week?!), dusty miller, and wildflowers…perfection!
