Hannah + Scott decided to have an intimate wedding in Abiquiu, New Mexico. The two started the day with some gorgeous portraits taken by Crystal Cousin Photography, and then made their way down the street to their venue, Ghost Ranch, to have their ceremony.
The forecast projected it to be raining all day but luckily they didn’t even get a drop even though there were storm clouds looming all around them… which made for some great photos since the clouds made everything so beautiful and dramatic! Just wait and see! :) The day could not have been more perfect for this Summer Solstice wedding, let’s take a look.
A Ghost Ranch Wedding

An intimate bridal party in shades of green! How lovely do these ladies look?!

How sweet is this first look! The bride is absolutely beaming!

Having a small, family-only wedding allowed the couple to enjoy their day and avoid outside distractions. They worked together to find memorable items for their ceremony…little details like custom New Mexico turquoise jewelry designed for the bridal party and special wooden bow ties from the Czech Republic for the guys! You can see some of the lovely jewelry finds in the photo above!

We are SUCKERS for dogs in weddings!! H + S brought their pup, Zia, with them along with their parents, siblings, and their spouses all of which were coordinated like a wedding party.

We asked Hannah how she went upon choosing this stunning BHLDN gown AND all the hats throughout the day!!
“I thought I wanted a very simple dress at first, but was looking online for dresses I could try on at home and came across this lace dress. It really seemed like something that was made for me. I especially loved the train.

The hat idea came from having an outdoor summer celebration in New Mexico; the sun can be intense so we wanted to make sure everyone was protected. We decided to have our family pick out their own hats, and individual personalities really came through. My mom and I were looking for hats in Old Town Albuquerque and found the fascinator. We thought it would be fun!”

This couple couldn’t help sharing laughs even during the ceremony!

Exchanging vows—it is rare to have moments that are so beautiful and finite at the same time. He even wrote his vows in haiku form. We also had a blast taking photos! I thought it would be stressful, but Crystal made it really fun.

The happiest family! The bride’s bouquet as well as Zia’s floral collar are by Two Baroque Girls!

Hats Off to the Newlyweds

Congrats you two!!!

Such gorgeous scenery for a lovely couple! They couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day.

It makes sense why the couple had such a great time taking photos… because they were having so much fun in the process!

Want your own bridal hat moment? We’ve got just the feature for you!!

Weddings can become lost in all of the details you think you need to include. Sometimes simple is better. Think about what will make you and your partner the most happy. For us, we really wanted good food, live music that would recall the day, lots of flowers, and great photos. We focused on prioritizing those pieces, and the rest came together.

Why celebrate with one cake when you can have three!! These delicious cakes from Chocolate Maven really ended this couples day on a high note!
We are so excited for Hannah and Scott and truly wish them both all the best!
