It’s safe to say that you’ll be left starry-eyed after sifting through the photos of this music-inspired and space-themed celebration! Stephanie and Laith not only share a love for all things celestial—on their very first date they went stargazing!—but they also enjoy going to music festivals together every year. So, naturally, they knew right away that they wanted to find ways to incorporate both of their passions into their special day.
Nashville-based wedding photographer Cody & Allison Photography captured the groovy wedding and also planner Elizabeth A. Wright Events helped the couple blend their two unique themes into their one-of-a-kind aesthetic. Throughout the celebration, invitations and other wedding-day stationery displayed galaxy-inspired designs and were an easy way to introduce the couple’s theme. Even the groom’s velvet suit jacket felt out of this world, thanks to star-like designs. They also incorporated various elements from popular music festival posters, such as colorful and funky details, into their overall design and concept. “Our favorite music festival, Bonnaroo, has a chalkboard wall every year where you write your bucket list wishes,” says Stephanie. Adding, “we decided to make our own chalkboard wall and had it at our wedding to bring in the Bonnaroo feel!”
Along with the music festival details and celestial decor, lush pampas grass arrangements and glitzy disco balls were plenty in this music-and-space-themed wedding. See more of their fun-filled day below!
Invitations by Peach Wolfe Paper Co. featured groovy-inspired details as well as a few celestial designs to really set the tone for their fun-filled wedding.
Stephanie says finding her gorgeous gown wasn’t as easy as she had initially thought. She went to a number of different bridal salons in search of the perfect dress, and it wasn’t until the very last store that she finally had the “aha” moment. “When I walked out of the dressing room, the shop’s music randomly started playing the song I had planned to walk down the aisle to,” says Stephanie. “So that’s when I knew it was meant to be. I started crying, and so did my family. It was definitely a memorable moment!”
We’re obsessing over the pink dyed pampas grass, which was used to line the ceremony aisles. It definitely reminds us of actress Mandy Moore’s 2018 boho wedding!
For me (Stephanie) it was walking down the aisle. I was so nervous and started to cry while waiting to walk with my mom. But when I saw my family, friends, and Laith all I could do was smile. Laith was also emotional and it was so cute. The ceremony was my favorite part!
I would say to get as much done as you can early on. That way when it gets really close to your day, you can just relax and know everything’s taken care of. Also, do a lot of research on your vendors. Having good vendors vs not so good vendors can really make or break it!
