This Moody, Boho Secret Garden Micro Wedding Was A Flawless Floral Fantasy

Bride Jamie knew she wanted her wedding day to feel “otherworldly.”

When she and now-husband Ben began their wedding planning process, the invite list was set to include around 200 people. After flirting with rustic destination venues in Vermont and Colorado, Jamie + Ben realized something didn’t feel right about their plan.

They settled on a new approach: use the budget they’d allocated for a larger wedding to instead go all in on an immersive, enchanted wonderland of a micro wedding for only 21 of their very nearest and dearest friends and fam.

Their intimate celebration at The Liberty Hotel in Boston was a breathtaking boho floral fantasy. Hummingbird Events & Design brought Jamie’s “otherworldly” vision to life and made sure that the entire venue was dripping in drapey, moody flowers. Candles flickered. There was a floating wedding cake.

Jamie + Ben’s day is a reminder to anyone in the midst of planning their own wedding: It is okay to change your mind along the way, and sometimes when you reevaluate your plan you end up making something unforgettably magical ✨

Let’s take a look at Linds & Max’s gorgeous pictures!!

Jamie kept things classic in the accessory department. She balanced her floral boho bridal vibe with the stunningly simple Stuart Weitzman NUDISTSONG sandals in white. And her pearl handbag picked up all the delicate pearl accents in her veil!

Puff sleeve wedding dresses are having a MAJOR moment, and we are all about it. LOVING Jamie’s voluminous off-the-shoulder silhouette.

We can’t think of a better bridal look for this enchanted fantasy celebration than Jamie’s romantic, billowy, structured bodice boho wedding gown from Martina Liana Bridal Designs.

The Ceremony

We weren’t kidding about the breathtaking florals 😍

Love to see the father of the bride looking sharp! Jamie’s dad’s Mozart shoes from Pepe Milán are music to our ears.

We are absolutely SPELLBOUND by the “living tree” that Fleur Events created for Jamie + Ben’s ceremony. Brace yourself, because this is just the beginning of their floral genius.

The Reception

This lush floral masterpiece of a reception is beyond belief 🤯

Exquisit Events build all of the structures necessary to create Jamie + Ben’s immersive floral dream including this “flower tunnel.”

The long dark wood banquet table and black guest seating from Peak Event Services helped set the reception’s moody fairytale tone.

Crimson peony heads that served as escort card holders and black dinnerware added drama to the tablescape.

One thing Jamie + Ben loved about keeping the head count low on their wedding day? “It allowed us to actually spend time with the people we care about most.”

Don’t make decisions based on pleasing other people. Go with what feels right to you and your partner.

For the reception, Jamie changed into another dreamy boho look: this one a lacy low back cape sleeve gown by BHLDN from Anthropologie Weddings.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

From Jamie: My best friend, who introduced us, officiated the wedding. And my dad’s speech which made everyone laugh and cry.

This delicious rough iced ivory two-tier wedding cake Silver Whisk Bake Shop was suspended from the ceiling of the reception tent to create the illusion that it was floating.

Jamie gave into her secret desire to rock a black wedding dress on her wedding day by finishing the evening in this STUNNING black tulle gown from Anthropologie.
