How to Plan a Fun + Modern Fall Micro Wedding With A Sangria- Inspired Twist

Modern Pastel Wedding Inspiration

A wedding day inspired by Sangria? Where do we sign-up?? If you love spicy color shades, bold decor choices and sassy bridal style, then you’ve come to the right place because this fall micro wedding styled shoot has all that and more. Event designers, Shindig Chic, and planners, Time with Terrazas, used the beautiful backdrop of City Libre to show us all how to plan an intimate wedding with fun personalized details, decor that you can reuse in your own home, and a modern mix of bright colors and soft pastels- in the FALL! They share:

We wanted to show couples that inspiration can come from anywhere, even the drink in your hand. In this case, a glass of sangria! We brought in those bold sangria tones like rich orange, coral and berry mauve with soft pops of lavender, champagne & copper for balance. We believe color should be used to express the personality of couples who want to embrace their unique style and culture. Mixing pastels in with bolder tones can keep the look contemporary, timeless and far from boring.

Roseville Designs shows us how to say goodbye to a boring invitation suite. Don’t be afraid to play with color, graphics and even the curves and shapes of the invitations themselves!

There are so many fun modern stationary trends going around. Roseville Designs created a suite full of floral designs, romantic typography & the ever popular rounded edges to really bring in the modern vibe.

Two Different Bridal Styles

Doesn’t the model look stunning with bouncy curls styled by Despina Scandalis Beauty? She shows off how you can incorporate different bridal styles into your day by looking gorgeous in two La Soie Bridal gowns. One sassy and sheer, and the other, full, floral and perfect for dancing. Can’t decide which bridal style fits you best? Now you don’t have to choose!

Pastel Tones for a Fall Micro Wedding

Shindig Chic wanted to show how you can take a non-traditional color palette for Fall and totally make it work! We think they absolutely nailed it:

As a florist, sometimes we struggle when a fall couple wants pastel spring flowers.. or a spring couple wants muted fall flowers. So I wanted to play with that and do a more pastel palette with late summer/fall flowers to show that you can still get any look if you’re flexible to what’s in season & really end up with something more unique.

Wedding to Home DIY Decor Ideas

fringe seating chart

We are thoroughly obsessed with this fun fringe seating chart display by Shindig Chic! Here’s what she had to say about how the idea came about:

With so many mini weddings happening these days, I wanted to create a fun seating chart that wasn’t the usual oversized display but more of a fun crafty pop fit for a smaller party. I played off the curved menus for the shape & brought the bold colors into fiber art for fun.. and I literally hung these up at home afterwards (without the names, of course!).

If you’re planning a micro wedding, don’t be afraid to mix in eclectic and unexpected decor pieces into your tablescapes. Some of our favorite details from La Pinata Rentals are the amber glassware, crochet table runner, rose gold flatware and coral napkins!

We wanted to balance the bold fun colors with a simple yet elegant design. We wanted to style a more intimate dining table to show that you can still bring a lot of design to smaller set ups too.
