Both India + Corey are from the rural and seriously picturesque town of Pella, Iowa. For their big day, they wanted to bring together their friends + family to the place that had been so formative for them growing up. Making use of the gorgeous meadows, as well as vast areas of greenery, Shelly Sarver Designs (India’s mother) helped them create a day that was bold and unique, and brimming with fresh springtime vibes.
Shelly tells us: A grassy field nestled in the midst of trees just off a windy gravel road was the perfect backdrop for this eclectic celebration and was a true reflection of the couple’s love of nature. India, being fearless and decisive, knew she wanted to have an outdoor wedding, there simply was no other option. Despite the fact that it poured the entire week prior to her wedding, she stayed the course, refusing to find a backup location or even entertain the idea of a tent! Ignoring the constant pleas and petitions of family and friends they went ahead with the plan, and the day turned out beautifully—it was sunny and warm. They couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Let’s take a look at all the darling snaps from Aly Carroll, shall we?
India’s older sister, Regan, designed the invitations, which were printed on seeded paper (which you can plant!) and India’s youngest sister, Emerson, did the calligraphy on each envelope. The envelopes were then sealed with wax which was stamped with a bee motif.
Now those are a pair of kicks! We love when bride’s infuse their personal style into their wedding look and these Wander Coyote ‘White Magic’ boots are just the thing!
Talk about blooms for days! Shelly Sarver Designs crafted this wild bouquet of anemones, ranunculus, pampas grass, leafy greens, and more!
How sweet are these two?!
We are HERE for that beaded bodice and all the volume of India’s Hayley Paige gown.
How dapper do these gents look? Love the floral tie Corey is rocking? Take a peek at our GWS x The Tie Bar floral ties!
Ladies in white! This is a look we’ve been LOVING lately. You too? Snag these gowns from Revolve!

Isn’t that the dreamiest aisle with all the potted plants?
Oh my gosh—mini tambourines for all the guests!!
How darling are these sweet floral accoutrements?
As the bride and her father walked down the aisle, they were greeted at the end by Corey’s uncle, who officiated Corey’s parents wedding years before. And India’s oldest sister, Bailey, gave a personalized and meaningful message during the ceremony. Yet another personal touch, India’s Uncle Dan and little cousin Rhett sang India’s favorite song as she processed down the aisle to meet her groom.
India and Corey's most memorable moment of their day was pulling up to their venue, completely decorated and ready, for the first time. All they could do was roll down the windows and shout their excitement for the day to come! It gave them chills to see both families working so hard to make their day perfect, and that's exactly what they did!
Reception merriment began with Charlotte, a family pet, walking around with drinks as the designated “beverage burro.” Isn’t that adorable?
The events of the night flowed from speeches to dancing to socializing and everyone taking pictures in front of the “Love” sign on the hill. The sign was crafted specifically for the day by India’s father and grandfather, and it was the talk of the party.
Who else is crushing on all these touches of greenery?!
When the wedding day arrives, don't fret, because what's done is done and don't worry yourself with the way things could have been different. Allow yourself to enjoy it and don't stress!
Corey insisted on a pizza truck to satisfy his deep and abiding love for pizza. They also had a taco truck and a tater tot truck. (Who knew that existed?!)
What better way to celebrate the springtime fresh vibes of the big day than by a naked cake adorned with berries?
