Today, it’s all about the gents on GWS! Over the past few years, we’ve seen some super cool ensembles for the grooms (we’re talking everything from green embroidered charro suits to dapper floral outfits to a whole party of groomsmen that wore Chubbies!). This proved to us that the GWS groom has SERIOUS style and is up for rocking something with a little flair. So, we thought we’d partner with the experts at The Tie Bar to create a collection of ties specifically for the guy with style. Without further ado, we’d super excited to announce that the Green Wedding Shoes x The Tie Bar Collection is here!
We sourced inspiration from all over for this collection — cool textures from Morocco, painterly swatches and abstract art, lots of lovely linens and chambray. The result? Five distinct styles that come in an array of colors: blue hues, blush pinks, mauve, grey and black. While we love the variety of looks in this collection, we’re just as excited about how well the ties compliment each other. Our collection gives you the ability to create 3,125 unique looks….so mix and match our unique looks until you find just the right look for you and your dashing groomsmen!
Getting to Know The Tie Bar
If you’re not familiar with The Tie Bar yet, we’re more than happy to be the first to introduce you. The Tie Bar was founded in Chicago over a decade ago and they’re a prime location to pick up premium quality menswear at wallet-friendly prices. They’ve collaboration on collections with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Dwyane Wade, BHLDN, Show Me Your Mumu and now us! Not only do they offer stylish ties, but you can find all the pieces for the ultimate ensemble at one of their many locations. It’s no surprise to us that they’ve been featured everywhere, from the likes of GQ and Men’s Health, to Esquire, The New York Times, Forbes, and more!
Another reason we love The Tie Bar is the wallet friendly price point for their ties. We hear from you all the time about how weddings are getting so expensive, so we are beyond excited to be offering our collection of ties at $19 per tie. We know when you need to buy for all your groomsmen the cost adds up quickly, so hopefully this is one area you can save a bit! Also, if you look at your summer calendar and just realized you’re attending a wedding every other weekend this year, why not grab two or three to pair with your best suit to mix up your looks for all those pics that will end up on Instagram as you celebrate with your friends! And if you are like me and thinking, that seems too cheap for a good quality tie, these ties do not look like they cost $19. The quality is top notch…..the crew at The Tie Bar knows what they are doing!!
Now, let’s take a closer look at the collection and see all the fun ways you can style these bad boys!
Introducing Green Wedding Shoes X The Tie Bar
Each one uniquely their own + crafted from DREAMY materials!
Look at the quality here! The texture is SO amazing in person and you can’t go wrong with a classic chambray style…and we might be a *little* biased, but how good does our logo look here? ;)
It’s all in the details…
Suitor Stripe in Chambray
Look at this dapper crew! If there’s one thing we know for sure it’s that blue is IN for grooms + groomsmen this season.
“Oh, I didn’t see you there…”
The subtle mix of patterned suit and tie with a crips white shirt looks SO good together!
YES to these blues!
You long time GWS followers know we’re forever wild about floral ties for the guys! Such a fun way to bring something a little different to a traditional suited look and great way for a confident and stylish guy to add a bold yet delicate item to their ensemble.
For this look we selected Indochino and Generation Tux suits to pair with floral print ties for the whole crew. We made sure to give the groom a nice bold floral print to let him peacock a bit since it’s his big day. The groomsmen get to have a little floral fun, as well…..look at those smiles!
What’s up with those boutonnières you ask? We made them ourselves out of cute dried florals from our fave afloral. We love adding a custom element to really customize a look!
Herringbone Harmony in Navy, Blush Pink + Mauve Stone
Wanna have fun? Feeling a blue suit but looking for something with a little more flair? We’ve got you, we LOVE this mini floral blue suit by Indochino! Pair this number with our Navy Herringbone tie for a fresh, fashion forward and confident look.
Notice the herringbone detail? Subtle and SO GOOD!!
Skinny suit you say, rock this blue plaid suit from Indochino with the solid herringbone tie! Lose the socks, you can thank us later!
Pebble Pathway in Pink + Blue
And now we venture into a super fun color trend for grooms this year—maroon!
The unique painterly print of our Pebble Path Tie (it comes in blush pink as seen here or navy for a bolder look) is such a great option that won’t compete with the bold suit!
More Pink, Please!
Going for a pink suit? We LOVE this trend if you’re going to make a statement, go all in with our Floral Arrangement Tie in Black!
SO rad. BTW, this pink suit is from Indochino.
Big Day Dots in Chambray
Can you tell there are so many fun options here? We found the chambray ties were simple to pair + mix and match.
Florals for the Groom
Did we save the best for last?! You decide…but we love this groom style a LOT. This suit isn’t for everyone, as you need some swag to pull it off….but when it works, IT WORKS! If you do select this look, get ready to be regrammed like crazy!
