At 17 years old, Danielle met a guy at the local pizza place. He was charming, funny, kind-hearted, and having a smile that made her melt into a million pieces. His name was Chase and the rest is history… just kidding! We’re sharing more than just that. :) She tells us: 7 years later, we decided to make the love we had for each other officially official, so we did the impossible and planned our dream wedding in 3 months!
Wanting our love and journey to be the one and only reason for the day, we cut out all the excess and focused on the special things. We bagged all traditions and questioned the reasoning behind EVERYTHING, if it didn’t speak deeply to us, we just simply removed it or inputted our own personal spin. Everything had purpose — from the matching pizza tattoos in lieu of wedding bands, to our custom leather jackets.
Rock ’n’ roll, right?! Well, it gets better — they found the perfect intimate + secluded spot in Big Sur, right on the cliffs. Prepare to fall head over heels for the captures from Autumn Nicole!
Isn’t this illustrated map from Casey Ranae absolutely darling?! We would TOTALLY frame that after the wedding.
Hello, STUNNING! That pinky peach ring is from Sundari Gems.
The First Look
Can you think of a more perfect spot?!
The Ceremony on the Cliffs
We didn’t just want just an event, we wanted a memorable adventure. Symbolizing where we came from and where we were going, we got married in the most beautiful place we knew, our own little edge of the world, the cliffs of Big Sur CA. Surrounded by the people closest to our hearts, the ones who had helped us get to that exact spot.
One of my bridesmaids played a beautiful tune on an acoustic guitar as I walked down a long staircase, scaling the side of a mountain. Overlooking the ocean and a trickling waterfall, arm and arm with my dad, I walked up to the man of my dreams — all of our friends and family greeted me with the biggest smiles I've ever seen! We were married by our two best friends, exchanged heart felt vows (he vowed to be the Jim to my Pam - I could have just died right there) and kissed on the side of a cliff.
The Wedding Party
These jackets are AMAZING. Want to create a similar style? We’ve prepped this DIY for you!

Wanting to keep things casual and cool, the groom + his pals rocked denim jackets, black pants, and rockin’ kicks.
The Beach Picnic
After the vows were said, the group hiked down to the beach for the most beautiful bohemian-style picnic reception. They ate LOTS of delicious food, listened to old school love tunes, sat on thrifted throws, blankets and poofs, and shared their favorite memories together.
The dream.
The Newlyweds
To add an edgy kick to their wedding day outfits, Brooke Powell Art crafted these custom painted jackets.
