Industrial Meets Ultra Violet Wedding Inspiration in a Modern Loft

Ultra Violet Industrial Inspired Wedding

It is the year of ULTRA VIOLET! When Pantone announced the hue, we were anxious to see what design inspiration would come about… and we’ve been absolutely blown away (peep here for other ultra violet inspo!). Kim Jay Photography teamed up with Emma McCormick & Dakota Bateman to transform this raw loft space (Uptown in BC, Canada) into an industrial meets Ultra Violet dream.

Kim Jay shares: The designers, Emma and Dakota, took the reigns and immediately started brainstorming the best ways to pull some light and bring color into this space— Ultra Violet was the answer. Our vision was to stay simple, yet elegant and really harness the impact of the wow factor. Flooding the space with Edison lights and hurricane vases with candles, really topped off our look for a modern, effortlessly chic design.

Isn’t this watercolor invitation GORGEOUS?! Kody Dishlevoy absolutely nailed the design with all the purple hues.

The Ceremony Space

YES, YES, YES to all the industrial lights festooned from the ceiling + the rows of ghost chairs from Black and White Event Rentals.

Okay, so not only are those industrial string lights super cool—but take a look at that ombré curtain backdrop by Designer Weddings Victoria! We put together this post about creative ways to use fabric in your wedding, and this is definitely one of them.

The Florals

Tina with Platinum Floral Designs came on board and created a beautiful flower headband + an extremely textured bouquet. Aren’t those pops of pink positively perfect to round out the color palette?

The candles, that stunning light, and her sweeping Ti Adora ‘Halette’ dress… Can’t get over how moody, modern, and ethereal this is!

The Outfits

A velvet suit jacket for the groom is ALWAYS a good look—especially when it’s paired with popping purple florals, like above.

The Tablescape

For the tablescape, the team brought in iridescent cutlery and tasteful violet goblets from Anne Pollock. What better way to highlight the Ultra Violet theme than by using a variety of purple/magenta hues?

Diggin’ that iridescent flatware!!

And last, but certainly not least, Laura Kalynchuk crafted this confectionary delight! Purple marble + sugar flowers? Genius.

Way to go to the team behind this ULTRA editorial. Thank you so much for sharing!
