The fateful ancient Greek love story of Orpheus and Eurydice served as the inspiration for this lush and romantic editorial dreamed up by UK wedding venue The White Barn.
More than just a venue, The White Barn—located in Somerset in the southwest of England—brings wedding visions like this one to life using its team of planners and stylists as well as event designers like Bethan Amy Weddings. They even have an onsite florist, Frogmary Flowers, that sources flowers from Frogmary Green Farm where the venue’s located.
If you know the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, then you’re aware that *spoiler alert* it doesn’t turn out great for the two lovers. But Danielle and her team of vendors’ gorgeous rendering of the tale filled this ethereal barn with greenery and stylistic nods to antiquity and begged the question: “What if Orpheus and Eurydice had gotten their dream wedding?”
We are so in love with the way they totally transformed the space, and Tom Durn Photography got such stunning photos.

Bertie Valentine designed the ornate sage green paper goods for the shoot and took the opportunity to tell the story of Orpheus and Eurydice in the hand drawn illustrations!
A Mythical Garden Ceremony Setup
Frogmary Flowers brought Mother Nature indoors with a wild and organic approach to the greenery and florals that created a totally immersive experience. Also, we love the way they placed single white pillar candles throughout the space.
We can’t get over how the scattered moss and leaves filled the venue with an enchanted indoor garden feel by breaking the typical clean lines of ceremony floral arrangements.
