This Louisiana couple decided to run away to Colorado to elope because the only expectations they wanted to meet were their own!! We were also impressed to find out they pretty much DIY-ed their entire elopement (minus the incredible florals by the talented BlumenHaus!) Everything from the groom’s funky suit (found at a local mall), the bride’s hair (which the groom helped with!), and all the little touches, perfectly complimented the natural red landscape so so well.
Logan and Dominic decided to elope in the Gardens of God Park in Colorado Springs as Colorado is their favorite place to visit. They decided to keep things intimate with just the two of them and their photographer Stori H in attendance. The three of them drove around the park and got creative with filters, prisms, sunset, and of course the gorgeous flower veil! They are such a power couple marching to the beat of their own drum and we can’t wait to show you this fun + funky elopement!
Not Your Average Elopement
Not a fan of all eyes on you? Not one to wear a big puffy white gown on your big day? Well then this elopement and event design is perfect for any anti-bride!
Bride Logan admits that dress shopping did not go as expected but her future mother-in-law, sister-in-law and a close friend helped to make her day special. She found her dress at a David’s Bridal in town and it was the 3rd dress she tried on!
For the suit, the couple gained inspiration from a small shop in their local mall. The store had all types of colorful items and L + D bought everything for the suit at the one store and pieced it all together to create this look!
The coolest boutonniere we’ve ever seen! These loud colors and fun designs truly stand out against this dark green suit! Want to make your own silk flower boutonniere? We’ve put together the best DIY!
“Our best money-saving tips are to save a few hundred dollars by doing each other’s hair and make-up and a few thousand dollars by running away and eloping!”
For our elopement, we decided to help each other get ready in the room for pictures. Doing all of that was memorable but the most memorable part was helping Logan with her hair.
All in the Details
This bouquet truly suits this elopement for the fact that it beautifully compliments the red rocks, and breathes a color of bright life into the otherwise moody color palette! Here are some of our favorite bouquet arrangements for some additional inspiration!
Green wedding… nails?! So fun and unlike the typical wedding nails you so often see!! We love how this bride leaned into the grunge factor and chose a nail shade that matched her hair!
‘Till the End of Time
These two couldn’t look happier! Elopements are perfect for couples who want to keep things intimate and aren’t looking to please anyone but themselves…which is exactly the reason D + L opted for this rather than a large ceremony!
Loving this delicate golden bridal headband Logan is wearing which truly pops against her moody green locks!
At the end of the day do not lose sight of why the two of you are getting married. And hang in there because whether you choose to elope or have a ceremony it will be stressful! Love each other!
A tremendous congrats are in order for these newlyweds! The entire team here at GWS is so excited for you and all your adventures to come! Cheers!
