Our Favorite Dresses from Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2022

Fall 2022 gowns from Berta

New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2022 just ended and there was SO MUCH PRETTY! We watched a bunch of the shows virtually and looked through all the photos from the new collections. Lots of fun trends for 2022 included floral embroidery, puffed sleeves, off-the-shoulder gowns and more! Below are some of our favorite dresses and trends you can expect to see in the coming year!

Grace Loves Lace

Grace Loves Lace launched their Coco Loco collection last week. This new collection features eight new signature gowns, three veils and five accessories. The collection was inspired by Founder and Creative Director Megan Ziems’ decade of working with brides and the dilemma every woman faces when choosing ‘the’ wedding dress.

”Since I founded GRACE ten years ago, I’ve spent years watching women in their dress appointment being torn between the classic, sophisticated gown, and the fun, sexy gown. I thought to myself, what if the dress could represent all sides of our personality? The fun and the serious, the sexy and the conservative, the adventurous and the classic, the soft and the bold, the calm and the crazy. And so, that’s exactly what Coco Loco does” – Meg Ziems

Nadia Manjarrez Bridal

Nadia Manjarrez Bridal is a brand new bridal designer from Mexico and we were wowed by her debut collection! Nadia was inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken porcelain with gold or silver, and the belief that something is more beautiful for having been broken. Nadia was in the process of picking up her own broken pieces, following the tragic death of her father, due to Covid. After enduring this loss, one that so many others around the world can relate to, she collected those shattered pieces and decided to create something even more beautiful. Now was the perfect time to pursue her dream of launching her own collection.

Bridal Capes are going to be BIG in 2022 and we are in love with this Virginia Cape below :)

Irregular cuts, metallic fabrics, style lines, and touches of silver are meticulous details sewn throughout the pieces, a soft reference to Kintsugi. As an ode to her mother, who lost the love of her life, Nadia designed the Yaya Gown. Hand-drawn crystal cut beaded poppy flowers embellish the double satin Italian crepe gown with a dramatic poppy beaded detachable train. Poppies that symbolize regeneration are also her mother’s favorite flower. Styles that can quickly and seamlessly transform, from ceremony to reception maximize each piece’s wearability. This season ultimately transcends tragedy with hope, a delicate dream many brides this year will recognize instantly when they put on their wedding dress to walk down the aisle.

HalfPenny London

Halfpenny London wowed us with their voluminous watercolor-painted ballgown and detachable fluted sleeves. I love that they offer separates to make your look truly unique – and you can even change your look throughout the wedding day! A bit about the collection from Kate Halfpenny, “This season, we focussed on a small number of pieces, relishing the opportunity to immerse ourselves in craft, indulging in the process of sculpting these designs into their final, striking form. My team and I have explored the boundaries of our fabrics in new and exciting ways, using their capabilities to perfect construction of these simple, beautiful garments for our brides to enjoy and style as they wish. As always, each piece can be worn with heritage Halfpenny London styles, allowing our brides to express themselves fully and be the bride they want to be.

RIVINI by Rita Vinieris

Rita Vinieris shared this with us about their new collection, “Inspired by a new era where extravagance meets simplicity. Where expression of individuality through little puffs of pleasure give a connection to the tangible world. Fall 2022 is about understated grandness in lush silks, textual jacquards and layered 3D laces. Voluminous ballgowns, sumptuous fit & flares and fluid sheaths gracefully envelop the body creating modern regal silhouettes of self-expression. It’s all about the celebration of individual opulence.”

We are in LOVE. Especially with the puffed tiered sleeves on the Elosie gown – Just WOW.

Willowby

Willowby gowns are designed for the bride who is wild + free, so we have been big fans of their gowns for years as well. A bit more about their collection, “The Fall 2022 Willowby Collection is inspired by our stories and lives. Just like how people are woven together to create bonds and how our experiences together create our destiny, the threads in the tapestry are woven together to create an image. The fabrics designed this season use lush dusky colors and an intricate embroidered mix of patterns. This collection focuses on the romantic sleeves, cotton corded lace, textured finishes, and the ability to wear multiple looks in one.

Galia Lahav

Another one of our favorite designs, Galia Lahav launched some seriously stunning gowns! A bit about the new collecion: “Our newest couture collection, Telenovela, encourages brides to be dazzling as they own the spotlight and step in front of the camera. It allows them the power to be dramatic and the freedom to feel comfortable, bold and empowered no matter the silhouette. Brides can shape their perfect love story through Telenovela, where happiness is the ending to a season of lockdown, and the beginning to a bride’s sequel of love.”

Ines Di Santo Fall 2022 Collection

Ines Di Santo grew inspiration from her childhood memories (including travels to the Amalfi Coast) for this collection. A bit more from Ines, “For me, this collection is about remembering all the moments of my life that led me to this point and celebrating how the best memories were always centered around family. Whether it has been my God given family or the one I’ve created along the way, family is everything and has always been at the root of my happiness. It inspires me to keep moving forward.”
