An Eclectic 70’s Inspired Camp Wedding

Eclectic 70s Inspired Get Down on a Farm Wedding

Brianna + Tony’s ’70s-inspired wedding at Quarry Hill Farm in Clifford PA was the perfect expression of the two as a couple. The inspo for the day was Olympic National Park, the 70’s, and a magical woodsy forest. There were vintage oil lamps, mushrooms, branches, glass cloches, candles, fairy lights, ferns, mosses, terracotta potted plans, vintage vases, and more! …As you’re about to see, it was pure magic.

What’s even more special about this wedding is the fact the bride designed and curated every single piece of her big day – invitations, tablescape, florals, seating chart, programs, signage, etc… She describes her design as a very eclectic mix with funky ’70s, vintage elements, camping/hiking inspired pieces, a little bit country, a bit western and a bit hippie…everything needed to be a VIBE.

Electric City Event Co. helped the bride through any roadblocks along the way, and Gorgeous Floral was an absolute DREAM! The bride expressed that she could not be happier with the amazing vendors she worked with for her wedding. Photographer Nicole Piercy made the couple’s dreams come true with how she styled the photos. She effortlessly captured the vibe of the day. Want to see for yourself? Keep on scrolling!!

The getting ready outfits were 70’s summer camp inspired and used the couple’s “Camp Phillucci” logo (his and her last names Phillips and Carlucci combined)!!

The couple’s save the date was a piece of art that was Brianna’s first gift to Tony when the two started dating. Tony was obsessed with a collage artist on Instagram and so Brianna took photos from their first trip and made a trippy collage for him in that style! Love this!!

Tony wore a bolo and a small urn that’s on a necklace containing his brother’s ashes that his mother and sister gifted him after he passed away. His suit was custom from Indochino with a galaxy print on the inside.

Where Their Love Story Began

Eclectic 70s Inspired Get Down on a Farm Wedding

The bride was gracious enough to share the epic love story between her and her husband:

This might be dramatic, but I truly feel that my soul has waited lifetimes to fulfill a dream of finding “the one” and I finally achieved it in this lifetime with my husband. Tony and I knew each other in high school, but he was older and good friends with my big brother. My brother didn’t let Tony go near me (haha!).

Fast forward to 2018, I was living in Providence, RI working for Alex and Ani and Tony was living in Seattle. We both happened to be in our hometown at the same time and I ran into him when I was out for a drink with my father. He asked me to go for a hike the next day.

We both had to go back to our cities, but I told him I usually do a road trip every summer and maybe I would meet up with him in Seattle. A few months later, he ended up coming with me on an 8-day road trip through Olympic National Park, a 4-day backpacking trip through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. No showering, no privacy, no hiding vulnerabilities.

I’m pretty sure we fell in love on that trip. We both left feeling like our perspectives had changed for what was possible in a partner. In our ceremony, we used a quote that reads “I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees.” That’s how we both felt after that trip. Tony and I have been through a lot in our lives. We both found hiking and nature on our own as a healing passion and ultimately it brought us together.

A few months later, I got a job, moved to Seattle and we’ve been together ever since. We’ve lived 5 lifetimes together already. Constant road trips to National Parks, hiking, camping, amazing concerts, gardening, cooking, in a tiny cabin near Mount Rainier in the Pacific Northwest.

It wasn’t all perfect. 4 months into dating, Tony lost his little brother unexpectedly and a year after that, I lost my father unexpectedly. Then the world changed and we survived living together in a 500 square foot cabin through the pandemic. We made it through and it has made our foundation unbreakable. We got engaged on a hike in the middle of Grand Teton National Park and spent the night dancing in our cowboy hats and boots in Jackson Hole. It is truly a fairytale and my dream come true.

Bride Brianna knew throughout her entire wedding planning process that she was going to share her big day with Green Wedding Shoes and we are honored!

“I am so inspired by Jen’s story. I also work as an Art Director, but agency life just doesn’t allow me to utilize my full creative potential. When it came time to design my wedding invitations, a passion ignited in me. Call me crazy but, I planned my entire wedding, worked my full-time job, and started my wedding invitation business (Paper Altar) all at the same time. My passion and excitement for it drove me to crank out work every single day while juggling everything else.”

The bride shares that the property was 160 acres with two ponds, jacuzzis, and lots of fire pits and recreation!

“We all stayed on the property in the cabins. Some people also brought trailers and camped out. The boys were in the Moose House and the girls were in the Farmhouse. We got a food truck for our rehearsal dinner and played pool, shuffleboard, fished, and sat in front of the fire on Friday night.”

Take a Seat, It’s Time to Celebrate!

The bride made custom bandanas as wedding favors and they were hung on vintage doors as the seating chart. How unique!

The bride even designed the dinner menus!! She printed them on handmade paper with a vellum botanical overlay and finished them with a green velvet ribbon. We just adore them!!

At each table, there was vintage gold and silver cutlery, green and amber goblets, and mismatched floral dinner plates, creating such a whimsical and playful tablescape for the reception!

“This wedding was a true expression of who I am. When my maid of honor walked into our reception, she cried. She said that everything was “just so you” and she had never seen a more beautiful wedding.”
