In case you missed the first part of Christine + Bill’s Dr. Seuss inspired wedding, please check that out first as you won’t want to miss it. And now we are off to the reception! During the reception, guests played a good game of corn hole on custom created game boards (another family favorite) , indulged on layers of ombre aqua cake and danced the night away under the evening sky.
How darling are the escort cards! Pinned within colored painted frames of burlap backing they were coined with the phrase above that read “oh the places you’ll go” inviting guests to find their seats after a bright and a happy ceremony.
The palette of aqua, red and soft butter cream infused the sporty retro combination and was found throughout the event from the gorgeous shade tent to the vintage glassware on the table, the linens and the dipped legs of the chairs. Old childhood favorite books were placed among flowers to mark the table names and guests were greeted with mini sketchbooks and pencils to evoke their own sense of wonder and doodling (one of the bride’s favorite pastimes).
How rad are those aqua dipped chairs! In major love. They were rented from Yeah! Rentals. And the vintage colorful drinking glasses? So perfect. Those are from Casa de Perrin.
The bars were appropriately named “Bar 1 and Bar 2” in reference to “Thing 1 and Thing 2” where guests could order up one of the couples specialty drinks.
From Heather: It’s always bitter sweet with the ending of each of our weddings but we are reminded by Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened”. Many thanks to Christine and Bill who will ever be young at heart and will keep us smiling as we remember their special day and the fun along the way.

Christine + Bill’s Photo Booth was one of our favorites! Some of their guests brought Dr. Seuss books into the photo booth with them. You can see them here at Christine + Bill’s Pixel Photo Booth Gallery, so much fun! http://pixelphotobooth.com/orange-county-photo-booth-wedding-christine-bill/
where do you buy those place cards?
Do you know who the Tent is from?
I know this post and this wedding are old and in the past now, but I just needed to comment… I came across these photos about a year ago as my company was beginning to design our new Oh The Places Youll Go nursery collection, my boss just loved the colors of this wedding that we made them the central theme of our new group and the collection is now finally in production! So, Bill & Christine, if you are having a baby any time soon, be sure to check out th brand new nursery bedding collection called Oh The Places Youll go by Trend Lab LLC!! (photos will be up in the next month or so)
