An Engagement Session at a Cabin in the Woods: Katy + Adam

We’ve seen lots of fun engagement session locations lately, like these playful ghost town pics + this picnic session on a canoe, but Katy + Adam’s romantic engagement photos at a secluded cabin in the Oklahoma woods just might be our new fave. There’s just something so cozy + intimate about the setting, don’t you think? And it doesn’t hurt that Katy + Adam are totally adorable, super stylish + completely in love! Jenny McCann truly couldn’t have captured these two any better!

And since we’re suckers for a good proposal story, here’s Katy + Adam’s super sweet tale:

The two of us met at church. We were both in a season of life where we didn’t expect to meet someone and fall in love, so it was only appropriate that the proposal was equally unexpected. We were iced in for the weekend with one of the biggest snow and ice storms North Texas has ever seen. We were a little stir-crazy from being inside all day, so we ventured out to walk to a steak house right around the corner. Because of the weather, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The shopping center where the restaurant is had Christmas lights and decorations all around, adding an extra dash of romance to the night. After dinner, we headed back to my apartment, where Adam set up his cell phone to record the whole thing as he got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of the Christmas tree. We got the best of both worlds; we enjoyed the intimacy of it just being the two of us, but we have it on video to share with friends and family and to look back on someday. This cabin photo shoot is such a perfect reminder of the cozy, romantic feel of the night that we got engaged and our lives changed forever.
