One of the most beautiful things about weddings is that they’re one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime moments. But you know what’s a HUGE bummer? Weddings can have a painfully large ecological footprint. The one-and-done aspect of a wedding can create a ton of waste and doesn’t leave a lot of room for reuse or recycling. It’s impossible not to consider the environmental impact when planning your wedding, but this editorial is here to reassure you that keeping things simple and sustainable is not only achievable but TOTALLY STUNNING.
A St. Paul, Minnesota based team made up of super talented vendors like photographer Adrian Steinbach and Cosmos Floral gathered at The Lowlands to fill the industrial space with bright, springy colors and create some wedding inspo that proves how beautiful a streamlined, eco-friendly event can be.
“On the whole,” says photographer Adrian, “we just love how this is a totally do-able event that celebrates late spring and early summer, and includes sustainability as a main feature (while still being incredibly playful, of course)!”
It’s vibrant. It’s minimalist. It’s modern. We can’t get enough of this editorial.
Let’s take a peek!
Moriah Creates made this gorgeous citron green invitation suite for the shoot. Love that super unique arched envelope shape!
Vintage postage stamps add a ton of character to wedding paper goods, but they can be hard to track down. An easy way to create that bespoke vibe is to snag a curated vintage postage set.
Model Leeya’s warm, smokey makeup look was created by Lady Vamp Artistry.
Leeya (who’s an artist, designer, and illustrator based in St. Paul) wore a gorgeous, fitted strapless shimmery lace La Premiere gown from St. Paul boutique LaNoire Bridal. We love the floral off-the-shoulder details!
Cosmos Floral totally captured this editorial’s springtime vision by filling this bridal bouquet with big, seasonal blooms and tons of texture and greenery.
Opting for restored vintage and estate jewelry (like this team did when styling Leeya’s look) is a great way to shrink your wedding’s footprint. This stunning emerald ring is from Legacy Saint Jewelry.
