These Stylish Brides Had Their Eclectic and Colorful Wedding in A Toronto Art Museum!

Eclectic and Colourful LGBTQ+ Museum Wedding

Rachael and Lindsay fell in love exploring local galleries together, so it only seemed fitting that they hosted their wedding at one of Toronto’s iconic locations for art lovers – The Gardiner Museum!! This blank canvas that boasts floor-to-ceiling windows was the perfect backdrop for the Mad Bash Group who handled event design and planning, and the florists at The Wild Pansy created a vibrant and eclectic soiree for these lovers. With fashion being an important part of the couple’s lives it was important that their wedding embodied great style, from the outfits all the way down to the decor. And just a heads up, they totally nailed it. 😉

We knew we had to share this wedding with you all for a few reasons: the BOLD colors. The eclectic event design… and a very special guest who made an appearance during the couple’s first look! You aren’t going to want to miss any of the excitement that was so effortlessly captured by Whim and Willow. So without further ado!

A Bold and Bright Ceremony

For the ceremony, the event designers custom-created multi-layered vibrant panels that could later be repurposed as a backdrop behind the head table that hosted the couple’s iconic sign that we know you’re going to love. They paired the backdrop with an eclectic mix of mismatched vintage chairs for the perfect combination of mid-century meets eclectic.

The couple loved that their wedding planner took their eclectic vision and brought everything together so seamlessly! It’s one of many reasons why having vendors who understand your vision is so essential when it comes to wedding planning!

Sparkle baby! These bridesmaids rocked these sequined gowns from Revelry and looked so fashionable while doing so!!

An Elevated House Party

As a nod to the couple’s love of galleries, there was an epic color-blocked gallery wall-inspired seating chart that incorporated some of the couple’s miniatures they’ve collected over the years. This was a showstopper as guests entered the space and one which was talked about throughout the entire night!

“We loved bright vibrant colors and wanted the day to feel like a great house party but elevated. We mixed in our favorite miniatures that we’ve collected and added sentimental details at every opportunity.”

Alongside the seating chart, another thoughtfully curated display piece was a vintage cabinet filled with miniature hand painted canvas’ that Lindsay’s mother individually created. Not only was this a perfect nod to the venue setting but also a sentimental takeaway for each guest.

One of our favorite elements of this wedding was the big, bright neon sign that read “Til Death”. Today, the memory of Rachael and Lindsay’s wedding lives on in that neon sign that now hangs above the bar in the couple’s kitchen, and it’s certainly the perfect centerpiece for all the wild gatherings yet to come!!
