The First Look

We’re not gonna lie: we are completely obsessed with Lauren’s pink Aje. wedding gown.

There truly is nothing sweeter than first look groom smiles.

“I had found this pink Aje. gown while looking for inspiration for statement dresses that were not white,” says Lauren of her journey to this nontraditional look. “It was from a previous season but I was able to find it resale not in my size and have it altered to my body.”

“The pink color was reminiscent of the bougainvillea found all over San Miguel de Allende, and I really let the dress lead the rest of the elements of the wedding. Pink florals, all white linens, all white for guests.”

Angie Mendoza was the hair + makeup mastermind behind Lauren’s sleek + chic center part down do and delicate neutral glam.

“We really just wanted to have fun with our friends and family,” remembers the couple. “This included having our close friend officiate the wedding. We gave her carte blanche over the ceremony and she did an incredible job. Including surprising us with a custom shot ski to seal the ceremony!”

Blush orchids. Ranunculus. Roses. Lauren’s monochrome bridal bouquet was pink perfection!

Between the ceremony + the reception, guests enjoyed a scenic stroll through San Miguel de Allende from one Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada location to another.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Walking down from the welcome drinks into the Parque where the tent, tables and dance floor was set up. It was magic hour, and with all of the candles on the tables and star pendants hanging from the tent it was truly magical.

Twinkly Mexican star lanterns created a beyond-magical glow as the sun went down.
