Bethany + Spencer kicked off their wedding weekend with wine + giraffes at Malibu Wine Safari, which is the first indicator of a GOOD time ahead. A couple of filmmakers who were deep into wedding planning while their film was showcased in festivals across the country (and winning awards along the way), they certainly earned a bottle or two! From there, B + S called on their friends at Juniper Sisters Events to help plan their dream day at Calamigos Ranch. Here’s the inspiration from Bethany:
Our inspiration was combining our southern roots and the new California life we built. We wanted to share all the things we love with our family. This included film photos with our alpaca guest, blankets, hankies, crystals, palo santo, and real tattoos!

Boho Bridal Style
While the gals donned rompers in muted rainbow colors, Bethany totally stunned in the Vita Gown from Rue De Seine. And guess what?! She was actually the first bride to do so!
We had a dream experience finding our Rue De Seine Dress. Lovely Bride had trunk show WITH the designer the very weekend I was set for dress shopping. They were so wonderful. My dream designer was there watching me say yes to my dress! I was the very first bride to wear the Vita Gown. Our Honey Punch dress/rompers were so perfect for Malibu and looked amazing on all my bridesmaids.
How good is Spencer’s suit from Zara? Paired with the bolo tie—such a rad look.

Archive Rentals provided all the amazing pieces that really made this wedding a perfect boho dream including the ceremony arc, the rug runners, all the lounge setups and the desert setups. :)
The sweetheart table was set with the prettiest string of proteas by Moure Designs.
We were so lucky to hire Juniper Sisters Events as our planners. They are southern girls with a worldly aesthetic. So resourceful, and our actual friends! For us it was important that every single detail had our stamp on it.
B + S invited a tattoo artist to take residence at their reception! They each got matching tattoos in Spencer’s handwriting.
We performed a song together and then got the lyrics tattooed on us right after our vows!
A bride + groom duet in place of the first dance? LOVE IT.
