When Brittany and Nicolas decided to get married after several years of dating, they knew they wanted this moment to be just about them. They teamed up with Dana Kramer of Haus of Gravity to create a small, incredibly intimate backyard wedding ceremony. Their beautiful daughters Madeline (pictured left) and Celine (pictured right) were the only witnesses to this spectacular day!
Abigail Renee was on the scene to capture the beauty of this occasion. In lieu of an extravagant party, Brittany and Nicolas chose to keep things simple. They savored the joy of the day by getting ready together as a family throughout the afternoon. In the evening, they dined on a local Maine lobster meal. The beauty of their backyard was elevated with boho florals crafted by Sarah’s Floral Design. June 15, 2021, marked the day of their wedding – 7 years to the day their relationship first began.
The elopement was announced to friends and family via timeless, boho-inspired notices by Kate’s Calligraphy. Not only is it beautiful – but it also served as a memento for their loved ones to commemorate the occasion!
Getting Ready at Home
Brittany donned a budget-friendly wedding gown from Lulu’s to celebrate the big day. Celine and Madeline were the sweetest (and most helpful!) flower girls to their mother.
All the Little Details
Eloping doesn’t mean you don’t get to have a beautiful ceremony backdrop! Gorgeous fluffy pampas grass and terracotta flowers by Sarah’s Floral Design made this backyard truly come to life.
Celine and Madeline made the cutest flower girls!
The most memorable moment was exchanging vows in front of our daughters. It was so special. Also, my husband accidentally popping the champagne too early and it sprayed all over my face and hair! Haha!
Marital Bliss!
The love between this beautiful family is the only thing this wedding needed to make it breathtaking.
Make it about you, don’t listen to anyone else’s opinion. Also, ALL of the little details are SO worth it!
The blushing bride is a vision on her wedding day!
Dinner for Four
The happy couple and their daughters feasted on a delicious, local meal for dinner. No wedding in Maine would be complete without a little lobster!
This beautiful white cake by Sandpiper Cake Shop was the perfect dessert for their family of four.
With the stress and anxiety that can come with planning a wedding, it’s important to have a reminder of why couples get married in the first place. Brittany, Nicolas, Celine, and Madeline are the prime example of what weddings are all about – love. Congratulations to your beautiful family!
