Pop the champagne and pour out the OJ! No matter how you do it, brunch is one meal that you could almost always classify as an event. A springy dress or cute jumpsuit is a given, the company is A-plus, and how can you disappoint with food options from eggs to salads to waffles?! (Not to mention: coffee.) There really is something for everyone, which is why we’re huge fans of the brunch wedding.
Sophie Spier at Amazing Days Events agrees. And to take it one step further, she suggests making a weekend out of it somewhere off the beaten path! Sophie came across the Skyview Los Alamos, an iconic roadside motel turned boutique luxury near Santa Barbara and with it, all the inspiration for a laid-back brunch wedding:
The pops of color, desert-style landscaping, hill views, and retro vibe were speaking to me! This hotel screams, “Stay here for the weekend! And bring your fun, funky, amazing friends with you!” As a wedding planner, my couples are always looking for a full-weekend experience for their guests and Skyview is the perfect option. Cheers to weekend-long celebrations and brunch + bubbly after the I Dos!
Below, we’ve got some dreamy images from Anna Delores Photography, along with all the reasons to consider a brunch wedding for your own big day!
Reason 1: You Like to Explore
It’s just as fun to make a mini road trip out of it as it is to host a brunch wedding closer to home! We just love the idea of hosting your guests for a night or weekend somewhere unexpected and cozy—because nothing goes better with brunch than a little r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g.
How cute is this place!
Reason 2: You’re a Morning Person
A morning ceremony is kind of awesome, to be honest. Wake up, get ready, get married, spend the rest of the day with your new spouse and guests! Instead of filling up the day with prep, anticipation, and last-minute details, it’s all love, food, and fun!
That said, make sure your venue will let you in the night before to get everything set up. This floral ceremony backdrop by Ella & Louie is the sort of stunning piece that can be built offsite and set up the morning of!
Reason 3: Food is a Priority
All couples have their thing: maybe it’s the music, the videographer, or the fashion. If food is your thing, it’s hard to define a more crowd-pleasing meal than brunch.
Plus, brunch is just so pretty!
Details from Otis & Pearl + Onyx & Redwood brought those retro-chic vibes to the table for this cute tablescape!

Reason 4: The Cocktails Start Early
“It’s 5 o’clock somewhere” never applied better to a situation. Bubbles and Bloody Marys can easily segue into beers by the pool—just sayin’!
Love this DIY Bloody Mary situation!
Fun floral details are always a fave.
Reason 5: The Fun Lasts All Day
The BEST brunches are the ones where you have no plans afterward and the day just unfolds from there. Pretty perfect to let it unfold while you’re with BFFs at a super-cool location where the pool beckons if you ask us.
The options really are limitless from there! You could go traditional and host a dance party later that night, or go for some real laid-back vibes with afternoon massages.
But whatever you do, let there be cake alongside those waffles! We think this simple delight by Sarah Bozanich Williams would do just the trick.
Feeling inspired and looking for more? We love this brunch wedding in Malibu and this pop-up brunch wedding in the Arizona desert!
